Great Value and Smooth Performance — A Worthy Upgrade
After over five years of daily use with my old Philips shaver, I finally decided it was time for an upgrade — and the Philips Norelco 2400 Series has been a fantastic replacement. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I’m very satisfied with its performance. The shave is smooth, quiet, and comfortable. It glides easily over the skin and handles both short stubble and longer hair without pulling or irritation. I was pleasantly surprised at how much the technology has improved since my last model — this one feels faster and more efficient.Battery life is great, and I love that it’s easy to clean. For the price, it delivers excellent value. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the higher-end models, but it does exactly what I need — and does it well.If you’re looking for a reliable, no-fuss electric shaver at a reasonable price, I highly recommend the 2400 Series. It’s a solid choice whether you’re upgrading from an older Philips model or just starting with electric shaving.

Works very well. The battery is meh, but the shaver does the job.
Shaving is always a challenge for me, and while it will be a few more weeks before I'm sure I think I've found a shaver that works for me.I'm a 60 year old male, with skin that is uber sensitive to shaving. I've struggled with it my whole life (well the post puberty part!). I've tried cartridge razors (from 1 to 6 blades) safety razors, one blade electric razors, foil shavers and rotary shavers like this one. All eventually leave me with razor bumps. I've tried growing a beard too, but I end up breaking out from that too. It isn't visible, but it is still painful. On to this shaver.I think I'm having better luck because they have moved away from their 'lift and cut' system. This shaver doesn't shave as closely as others I've used, but I can live with that if I don't get bumps. It is very quiet, light and easy to hold. I have to use a VERY light touch to avoid bumps, but if I do I have good success. I shave slowly, but even so it is quite a bit quicker than a wet shave. The shaver struggles a bit with the beard on my chin, it takes a couple of passes (again with a very light touch). A more expensive model with a stronger motor would probably be a bit more efficient, and if this continues to work well I might consider an upgrade in the future, but this one gets the job done.I have the best results using Lectric Shave first (and washing it off after). Occasionally there will be a hair the shaver won't pick up and I'll use attached trimmer to get that.I am glad the shaver will work plugged in. This was a feature that was one reason I selected this model. My experience with electric shavers is despite whatever 'warning' system they have they tend to poop out without warning. This one was no exception. The 'warning' light didn't come on until AFTER the shaver stopped. On the plus side I didn't notice any decline in performance until a few seconds before it died. Because it will work plugged in I was able to finish the shave with no difficulty.I shave my face, neck (front and back) and the top part of my head every day. I don't quite get 4 shaves from a full charge (though again I shave very slowly takes me about 10 minutes each time). But 3 full shaves is fine by me.If you want a BBS shave, this isn't the device for you, but if you are satisfied with a clean shaven look (no visible stubble at hand shake distance but they'll feel it if you kiss) and are troubled by bumps, give this a shot. Just remember not to press it harder against the skin to get it to shave closer (it will, but then you'll get bumps.)

(LONG HAIR ATTENTION)
(ATTENTION LONG HAIR) I have long hair down to my waist, noticed razor pulls in my hairs occasionally while shaving. Then two rotors stopped working, when I opened the rotary Blades they were tangled and packed With long hair preventing them from Spinning. So if you have long hair open them up and check them regularly or keep your hair tied back while shaving. This is my first time using a rotary so I didn’t even even know this could happen. Other than that, this razor gives a beautiful shave, only need a light touch to your face, well worth the money, clean close and sharp.

I highly recommend it
I have been so disappointed in shavers in the past that I actually went to the last century razor and soap method in order to get a clean shave. But THIS shaver actually works to give you a decent clean shave! No gimmicks, just pure functionality. It is rechargeable, and I haven't had to charge it for 2 weeks and I've been using it every day. Better than other shavers that cost twice as much!

Battery denies best performance
This thing performs well and I could give it 5 star if it had Lithium Ion battery. But the power fades quickly like it uses NiCad or NmH obsolete battery tech. This is important because its like putting a VW engine in a Ferrari. It has the components for a powerful shave but the mfg doesn't let you have it. You get one good performance. The other thing is the trimmer is weak and cheesy. But I guess the mfg has to compete with 'me too' features without regard for people actually using the trimmer. I am really disappointed that I am denied more than one good shave. If I can't get the performance, the mfg does't get a better review.

Quality, affordable shaver.
This is a great shaver. Holds it's charge and cuts close, for a smooth reliable razor at an affordable price.
