This is a lovely magic mat. I use it when I perform for strolling magic gigs. It makes shuffling and spreading out cards easy. It also rolls up and unrolls nicely, and fits perfectly in my gig bag.

This might be ok for a cup and ball trick, but cards slide too easily. It's usable, but another mat I've got it so much better.

Just started playing with card tricks so this is my first mat and I have nothing to compare it to, however... Seems like all i need. It comes rolled up which worried me because it is inexpensive, but it lies flat right out of the box. Felt is a very nice soft texture and the bottom has a slight grip to it which helps it lie flat and also not move around on you. Nice compact size for me to put out at my computer desk when I want to take a break from work to practice.

The mat is good for beginners. It's not very expensive, and it works well. It was folded, but the crease isn't visible. The quality isn't perfect (it had a bad smell at first, but it went away). I recommend it for beginners.
