Put in with bathroom remodel. Don’t expect audiophile quality, but good if you simply want to hear music in the shower that you can hear over the fan. I like how you can control the strength and color of the light from the app. It never connects to Bluetooth directly, you must always “forget device” and re-connect each time. A minor annoyance, but was expecting it based on other reviews. A good device that could use better connectivity.

You can't just connect to the Bluetooth. You first have to download the smartthings app, create a Samsung account and give access to all of your devices information or Google account. Then you can activate the Bluetooth function. But it will only connect to one device. If someone else in the house connects, you have to forget the speaker on your device, cycle the light off and on and reconnect using "find available devices." Also the Bluetooth function doesn't work if you set it up with Alexa or Google. Pretty disappointing.

It's a great way to swap out old can light fixtures with the added benefit of amazing sound. Does not dim from wall switch and must use phone/app to dim is only minor drawback. Overall an ingenious way to add light n soundambiance to any room

This is a difficult one to review. I will say ultimately the product as a Bluetooth speaker / light device is good. However, as described and sold on Amazon it did not work as expected. I was led to believe that I would be able to hook this up to Google home, and control it through that method using the Google home assistant, but that is not the case. All you can do is connect your cell phone or other Bluetooth enabled device to the speaker so if that's all you need this works great but if you're thinking about connecting it to the rest of your lights fans refrigerators and things have that nature it will not work. I also called the company and they told me that even the instructions that are included with it are incorrect, they were apologetic, but that was it they didn't offer me anything other than understanding of my return of the product. However, I did not return the product even though I wanted to, because it was already installed and it wasn't worth the effort to remove it box it drive to the store, and send it back so I just absorb the cost as a lesson learned.

Pain in the ass to set up with iPhone. Had to use my android. Once firmware was updated I could connect with my iPhone. Having trouble connecting iPhone for music after multiple lights paired. Android paired fine. Unsure why but will keep trying on iPhone! Speaker sounds good! It’s cool going into one room to another and still hearing music play!

This light is advertised as both a smart RGBW downlight and a Bluetooth speaker, but what they don’t tell you is that you have to choose one or the other.If you connect it to SmartThings, Alexa, Google Home, or Zigbee (like I did with Home Assistant), the Bluetooth speaker is automatically disabled. That means no streaming music unless you reset it and give up smart control.There’s no warning about this in the product description or box, and even the manual is vague. I expected both features to work together—like any modern smart device—but that’s not the case.Nice concept, poor execution, and misleading marketing.
