Great Light That Grows Plants
The light is well built and has a great spectrum. I am using it on a 5 gallon tall tank and it is growing some nice plants including reds. I started around 50% of intensity using more of the red, blue and white spectrum and slowly ramping up to around 70% intensity. The software is a little confusing but once you understand how to set it, it works pretty good with you being able to adjust each of the 4 colors ( red, green, blue and white) separately by 1% steps throughout the day. Giving you an almost infinite variety of looks to the lighting. I do like this light and would consider the Micmol brand on my bigger tanks.

Finicky, but manageable.
I really do like this light, but it's a finicky beast. Please see my instructions below on how to set the light up, as there are no proper instructions included.Starting off, this thing is BRIGHT. I don't ever go over 25% on my settings. Because of this, it works well for small and large tanks. The RGB light arrangement means you can make just about any color you can imagine if you understand light color theory. If you mess with the controls too much, it can take a full 24hr cycle to work properly. Once it's working, though, it works well. I only use AUTO and MANUAL mode, and haven't had a need to touch the other settings, so I couldn't tell you how well they work. Overall, I have a love-hate relationship with this light, but for the price, I'd buy it again. Here’s my setup guide:1) Download the Smart Life app from the app store.2) Set up and plug in the light. It should turn on automatically. DON'T TOUCH ANY BUTTON ON THE LIGHT.3) Open the Smart Life app and select "Add a device," located under the + tab in the upper right-hand corner. The app should find the light pretty quickly as long as you're close.4) Once the light is connected, tap on it and go straight to "CONTROL" in the bottom center of the app. From there, select "AUTO" at the top and configure you light.Notes:•Tap the + button in the "CONTROL" section to add a new time node. I have 12 different nodes as you can see in my photo. I haven't tested how many you can have, but it's definitely at least 12.• Tapping the - button will remove a time node, but it will almost always remove them from right to left (annoying, I know).•Tap on the green dots to select a time node. You may have to tap it several times for the app to register your selection. Once selected, you can drag each node where you want your light changes to happen. If this becomes annoying, you can tap on the "Timeline" tab near the bottom to enter each time manually.•Please note that you cannot check on or make changes to your light from the app if you're not in boutooth range.

Good Light Except 'Auto' Mode Doesn't Work
Like another reviewer, I could not get the 'Auto' mode to work properly, despite lots of troubleshooting and trying both the Micmol app and the Smart Life app (which seem to have the same functionality just wrapped in a different skins). On 'Auto' mode the light always comes on in the middle of the night, doesn't go off when it's supposed to, and doesn't ramp up/down as programmed. I returned for replacement and the replacement light had the same problem. So it is a hardware design issue, an app issue, or simply poor quality control? It is nice to have the 4-color LEDs and I like the (physical) design of the light, which works well with my UNS 45a. Comparable lights from better known brands were much more expensive. So in the end, I decided to keep the light and use it on 'Manual' mode with a separate outlet plug timer. But feels bad to not be able to use the 'Auto' feature that is supposed to work.

Great little light if the app actually worked.
This is a great little light for my 25C, but I am totally unable to get an auto schedule or manual schedule to work consistently. It might work great for a day or two, but I'm bound to come home and find the light not on or have it suddenly turn on at 3am. I've tried both the iMicmol app and the Smart Life app as suggested by several people in the comments and still no luck if the light didn't cost about the same as the tank I probably wouldn't be so upset.

Easy set up
The light is pretty nice. I took another reviewers advice and just used the smart life app I already had installed. It found the light right away. I set up a schedule for the light similar to what I have on my fluval light. This one has less light colors to set up. No warm white, but for the price I think it will work. It does have some preset light settings, a 24/7 one which I tried instead of my settings. It's effortless. I like the adjustable arm, it is a nice feature.Update: It's been about a week and I really like this light.
