I like the fact this hose takes up less room than a traditional hose, but it is a little fragile - mine got a 'puncture' from a small splinter off my decking within days of having it - not a big deal really, it just drips a bit, but I was planning on running it through the house to use out front to wash the car etc. - definitely not safe to use for that. The connectors are metal, but fit standard hoselock-type connectors. Like other self-retracting hoses, you have to remember that it still keeps pouring water after you've switched the tap off, while it empties itself. Good for the price, but I can see I might have to replace it sooner than a traditional hose.
