Security for HomeKit
Works well with Apple HomeKitWith both doors or windows.

Somewhat Misleading
The description says you can use this device to trigger alarms using the app. I thought that meant the sensor had a siren built into it. That’s not the case. The sensor does NOT have a siren. The Philips Hue security camera is the only accessory I am aware of with a siren. You can link the sensor to your camera which will trigger a siren when a door/window is opened.

Better than Eve
I misplaced the HomeKit codes for the Eve door sensors I had and this rendered them useless. I therefore decided to try Hue versions and the way these are installed is simple and no HomeKit code to worry about but still able to be added to HomeKit and provide full functionality.

A little pricey, but there is no better contact sensor out there!
We have a lot of Hue lights and I wanted a contact sensor to automatically turn on my entryway lights when we open our door from the garage. For that, it works perfectly. We have trim around the door that prevents the 2 sensor parts to be super close and it does not matter. It's close enough! Our other one is monitoring a 1st level window and notifies us whenever it's opened. No integration with our lights, but there was no need. Great addition to the Hue family!

Great with HomeKit but with limited functionality
Very responsive with HomeKit with little to no lag (1 second average with HK, instant notifications with Hue app). Functionality with HomeKit is very limited though, only providing open/close status. The arm/disarm functionality found in the Hue app isn’t available in HK, but that may be due to HK itself.

Very easy to install, you must have a lot of Hue products.
I bought this to try and see if they worked better than the Eve Home sensors. These did work very nicely and with a wide compatibility of apps (homekit, hue, alexa). Only problem for me was that these rely on Zigbee and I only have a few Hue lights. Because of that, it wouldn't reach to the rooms that I wanted. Needless to say, I did end up returning them and sticking with my Eve sensors. If you have a lot of lightbulbs from Hue, these would be the contact sensors to get, just didn't work out for me.
