Silhouette Studio Designer Edition Software Upgrade Card - 1 License Key

THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER. If you have a Silhouette and are even considering purchasing the designer edition of the software, do it here. You will be spending almost $50 anywhere else, but here you can get it for almost half the cost. I have watched the price of this listing and it does change quite frequently. I think I paid around $28, but a week later when I was telling my sister in law about it, it was down to $24ish. There are quite a few Facebook groups dedicated to silhouette projects/questions/etc and people are constantly asking, "is it worth it?" or "where should I buy it?" My answer is always "AMAZON!!" The designer edition unlocks several tools that I have no idea how to use and several that make me so thankful that I bought it. The main feature I use is the "pattern fill" feature which allows you to fill a shape with what ever pattern you want. I make stickers for my planner (#plannergirl/#plannerlove/#erincondren/#lifeplanner), and I was just getting images from google and then cutting them into the desired shape but it would take hours!. While this feature alone makes it worth it to me, it also has a bunch of other features. It allows you to import more file types (.svg), gives you more manipulation tools, adds guides and rulers, advanced knife and eraser tools, rhinestone patterns, sketch patterns, and more. If you craft at all, do yourself a favor and upgrade to the designer edition. The only thing that may be a downside to ordering it here, is that you have to wait for the physical card in the mail rather than receiving the code via email. It is well worth the wait, I promise.

Silhouette Studio Designer edition. Excellent value. Easy to download through your existing Silhouette software.I have been using the standard version for several years and wish I had upgraded to the designer edition much sooner. Includes extra features for using sketch pens, rhinestone designs, multiple cutting edges with knife tool, enhanced replicate tool, nesting feature to utilize optimum space on paper.when cutting, add shading and shadows, ability to use Pixscan mat, use svg files and more! Find little extras every time you use it. A definite must to upgrade standard version and increase your skill level.

The card is sleek, thin and very user friendly. You can store the card in your pocket or wallet with ease as it's compatible with almost every credit card slot in a wallet making it very mobile, I barely feel it on me now! You can use a fingernail or a simple penny, or even a more complicated dime to operate it! The only downside I see to this card is there's virtually no replay value once you operate it, making the resell value pretty worthless, but the anticipation of what random numbers lay behind the thin silver coating gives it a full 5 star rating. Could it be a 3... or a 5..., oh it's a 9! What could the next number be?! I wont spoil the rest for you!

I purchased the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition Software a few months ago and I am really enjoying it. I was a little bummed that I had to wait to receive the physical card with the code on it instead of having instant digital access, but it really didn't take too long at all! Once I entered the code, the set up was fast and easy. The designer software seems a bit daunting to use at first, but there are many wonderful and helpful tutorials available online. I quickly learned how to operate it by watching various Youtube tutorials based on the project I was trying to accomplish. The designer edition software frees up your ability to create anything you dream of, you can even use the existing fonts on your computer or create cut files from photos! You have the ability to set your paper size, so you know that what you are cutting will fit within your perimeters just by looking at the screen. And the best part? There is a nesting feature that will automatically group your cut files closely together in order to save you some valuable material. I have used this software to design shirts for my family's upcoming trip to Disneyland (heat transfer vinyl and screen printing), glass etching, painted wood signs, etc. I have even created a large 1.5ftx3ft vinyl wall decal. I used to have a different brand of cutter, and I have to say, the Silhouette Cameo and the Designer Edition Software is so much better than having to go and purchase cartridges from the fabric store! Crafting is fun again!

At first I wasn't sure if the price of the upgrade was worth the cost, but it is...especially at this price. I'm still pretty new to the world of vinyl cutting, but I already can see the difference this software makes. At first, I was intimidated by all the functions and their buttons, but after downloading the manual for the software, it's really easy for me to navigate. The software card was shipped and delivered very quickly and the set up was simple. I have heard that Silhouette is going to come out with Designer Edition Plus which incorporates machine embroidery designs and appliques. If this is true, then I will come back to this shop to purchase.

The designer studio software is a definate step up from the regular silheoutee studio program. This allows you to be able to open all types of files you could possibly wAnt to. This opens up the world of png files. Ther are so many options available with this program. You are able to die cut anything you possibly could want to. You can get files from the silheoutte store, download them from another pay source, or even just do a google search. You won't have to purchase die cuts any longer. You can find anything to do any task you wish. I am amazed by all the abilities I have with this program. It is very useful.

My rating is based on the issues I encountered installing this program, not the actual program itself. Like other who have purchased this I ran into the "invalid license" error. I called Silhouette directly for a fix. Here's what they emailed me for my MAC. Not sure what the fix would be for a Windows system. FROM SILHOUETTE: Thank you for your alert. Excellent value. I am an avid crafter and teacher and I love using the silhouette studio. I bought this as a way to upgrade to my design studio to the Designer Edition. It arrived extremely fast and was extremely easy to enter and upgrade. If you have a Silhouette Cameo and are working with only the basic studio edition I suggest upgrading to the Designer Edition. It makes weeding easier and you are able to use SVG files, make layers, use advanced eraser & knife features, use sketch conversion tools, use the nesting feature, and have access to basic rhinestone conversion tools.

Il était impossible d'importer des SVG dans l'édition de base, il me fallait transformer le SVG en DXF avec inkscape ou des convertisseurs en ligne et parfois les DXF sont buggés avec traits non voulus, bref. Maintenant avec cette upgrade les SVG sont importés avec une facilité déconcertante, un temps non négligeable de gagné ! 40€ pour gagner des heures et des heures de vectorisation ça vaut le coup.

Although this is the German version it works fine for the UK. The instructions are in German, but all you have to do is reveal the license code in scratch panel on the back, go to the Silhouette Studio program help panel and click 'Upgrade Silhouette Studio' and enter your username, password and license code in the relevent boxes and you're done.
