Beautifully selected, excellent notes, printed and bound to the best standard, an accidental find in the sadly missed Grove Books of Cardiff.

This is a lovely little hardback that's perfect for sticking in your coat pocket to get out at any moment for a quick read of.It's split into chapters such as birds, plants, animals etc. which is why I only give it 4 stars. Ok Haiku usually come in themed chapters, but I feel that this is too narrow and you get say seven poems all about nightingales followed by three about swans and that does make it slightly repetative feeling where if they were mixed up it would be more pleasurable.But that asside there's an extensive collection of themes from the classics like Basho through to modern verse too.A pleasurable book indeed.
