Cherry Blossom Block Kit

Super cute building block set. It's easy to follow along with the directions that accompany the kit. I would NOT recommend for small children though as the pieces are much smaller than the name brand. I will definitely be purchasing more of these kits. My husband and I love doing these kits together. These kits are so much better than the legos we had as kids in the 80's.

I bought this for my 12 year old niece for her birthday and she loved it. We spent an afternoon finishing building this block set. Honestly, it wasn't easy to build it, it has smaller particles compared to the ones in the Lego blocks I bought. The instructions were very helpful and we ended up with this beautiful set, and we got to enjoy this self-built cherry tree in full bloom!

Took me 3 days to build since i have kiddos but it was an amazing build i absolutely loved it very therapeutic!!

Pieces are tiny so hard to work with. If I had to remove pieces from each other, pieces would go flying off so make sure you are 100% sure before placing. As others mentioned, the instructions are also like a puzzle. Very vague but make enough sense. Sometimes pieces were flimsy and would not stick to each other or would hold together. The further you got, the more delicate it became. Branches and flowers kept falling off and i ended up sticking the branches whereever since they kept falling. Got a little top heavy over the end. Overall, really fun to build, even if I went crazy a little. Very pretty but fragile. Would of rated higher if it did not fall apart the moment I tried to take a picture for this review.

Ok it is really cute…. Until you try to put it together. The instructions are not the easiest. I had to get a magnifying glass to look at the example and try to get the pieces on. The instructions did get easier after the base was completed. I ended up having to get a base board and start on that. The pieces are super tiny which I expected but I have big fingers and it was a challenge. About 3/4th’s done I started having issues with it falling apart. It seemed everytime I tried to add the next piece a previous piece would fall off. I go to put that back and something else fell off. Over and over and over. I got to where you add the 3 rounded pieces with all the flowers and I couldn’t get them on because something kept falling off. I’m not going to be able to finish this one 😭😭😭

If you’re a LEGO era kid then you can grow up with a tiny feeling that something is missing. Maybe this adult LEGO set is part of that? When I discovered this I got pretty excited. I mean, I often see those typical LEGO sets for kids all over the place and I’m tempted but…nah! It’s a toy right? But hey, here’s an adult LEGO set that is just difficult enough to validate your “adultiness” without excluding your “play like a kid-ness” that lives in your heart. It’s fun, durable, changeable (it’s LEGO!) and looks awesome when it’s completed. I found it worth the money! I mean hey, I spent more than this on my grandkids just because.
