Is what I needed to make use of a current power cord.
This was purchased to be able to connect to a GPS power cord from a previous installation on a motorcycle to charge phone. Haven't used it but can't see why it won't work.

My old Rexing dashcam used a mini usb plug. Hopefully this adapter is what I need for my new Viofo dashcam which uses usb-c. Will save me from re-doing the hardwire.

Doesn’t work
Cable charger doesn’t work, I plugged it in and it doesn’t charge my iPhone. I want a full refund

Does not work with Viofo A-229 dashcam.
I was hoping I could use my old dashcam wiring but no luck. This adapter will not work with the Viofo A-229 dashcam. When connected it will turn the camera on but then an endless cycle of turning off and turning on without ever booting up.

Perfect Adapter
I already had a cable feed up to my rear view mirror for a dash cam that was a mini USB, I bought a newer dash cam that required type C connection so this adapter saved me from having to pull out the old and run a whole new cable feed up to the new dash cam.
