I first saw a stone bath mat while in japan ,i was staying at my sons and was just about to take a shower when he placed a stone mat outside the shower.He told me it was a drying mat and was helpful for keeping the floor dry .After my shower i stepped onto the mat and wow! the water from my wet feet was quickly absorbed into the mat and then the mat seemed to dry again so fast .unlike my fabric bath mat at home that stayed wet and would start to smell and contain germs and mold and would need washing ,unlike this stone mat that seems to dry in seconds .MY own fabric mat has now been binned and i bought this stone one ,what i like about it is it is very easy to clean,it is hygienic and is anti slip ,it drys really fast and is quite pleasant to look at .they also supply a small sanding pad so you can refresh the mat or clean off any stains .it is a great produce that every shower room /bathroom should have .my son in japan has a stand for his and i would like to get one but they dont seem to be available to buy here .

After few uses mat started having bent in the middle, which means only middle part sits on the floor, and mat itself keeps swinging. So, it is really dangerous to use as it is not stable on the floor. We had another mat from the same materials for the last 4 years and it did not have the same problem. As more companies started selling similar mats we though we will get a new one, but now we regret this decision.

It does the job. If you have a coffee cup and you do not wash it so the water is clean then it will mark the board. But it does help to have a area to put stuff as you dry up

I wanted a new shower mat but didn’t like cloth ones as they start to smell after a couple of uses. Thought I give one of these stone ones a try. Must say I’m impressed, good non-slip surface, dries really quickly and no smell!

So confession here, I ordered this a bit too quickly and didn't realise this was literally, a 'stone' bath mat. I figured it was stone coloured or similar, as most things are described. So I was quite surprised when this arrived, but I thought okay, let's give this a go! The setup was a bit of a pain as you had to rinse it off thoroughly and then leave it to dry before using it to get rid of all the stone dust.The pros: It's highly absorbent and it quickly sucks up any water off of your feet when you get out of the bath.The cons: it's easy to stub your toes. As such, my 6-year-old does not like it at all. I think you need a fairly big bathroom for this not to get in the way. I do not and it does get in the way.It does discolour from the water quickly, it comes with a bit of sandpaper to sand the marks away and you're supposed to rinse it of thoroughly now and then, but who has time for that?Overall, if you've used one before or know exactly what's involved in the maintenance and you're happy with that, it's a great purchase. If you're just looking for an absorbent bath mat that also dries quickly, maybe look at all your options first.
