I like to put these on my chargers to see how much current is being drawn from the charger. This tells me what the approximate state of the charge is because the current goes down as the battery approaches full charge. When the current goes to zero, you know the charge is complete. I have a number of devices where the flashing charge indicator LED is so hard to see and flashes so slowly that it's a pain to try to determine the state of the battery charge. This thing makes it far easier to tell when the device is fully charged.

Its readings appear to be quite accurate. The display is bright and easy to read. This meter is very useful for checking USB voltage on a type A jack and for showing the DC current drawn by a device, such as a portable drive, that is connected to a PC through it. I have often been leery of charging devices, and whether they exceed the limit of 5.25 volts. This device has caught one charger that was putting out power whose voltage was well in excess of nominal. Good investment.

Works fine for testing u s b port voltage

This FORIOT 2Pcs USB Meter Tester is super useful for troubleshooting and understanding both the USB Power supply used, and the electronics I am trying to charge. I even take it to the airplane with me, to confirm if the small USB plug under the seat TV is working or not. I suggest using a 3 inch dongle to be able to reach tough-to-reach USB ports.
