My grandfather was from Turkey, and he introduced me to black olives in the 1960's. I loved the sweet, smoky flavor. Over the years, so many "name brand" black olives lost that flavor. The are all bitter tasting, and I honestly thought I'd never find black olives with the flavor I grew up loving. Thankfully, I gave these a try! They are wonderful, and taste almost the same as the black olives I remember eating when I was growing up. My only complaint is the cans usually arrive dented. Review: good buy - I liked these because the pickling solution wasn't so strong.
