Good dimming thermostat very accurate
The media could not be loaded. I love this product now I don’t have to change different bulbs for different times of the year. The thermostat keeps my heat lamp at the temperature I want.. I have two of them one for my hot and other for my cold side of my ball python enclosure.

The best and safest way to keep a set temperature from heat lamps or heat pads, & also saving energy
This is a thermostat with a remote temperature probe, that works with your heat source, whether it's a heat lamp, pad or other type. This is a pretty simple to use and operate solution for keeping an area such as a terrarium or other enclosure safely at a set temperature while using the least amount of electricity possible. The thermostat ramps up the power to raise the heat quickly until it approaches the set temperature, at which point it starts reducing the power delivered until the set temperature is reached, then holds that power output as necessary to keep the temperature constant. There is an attached remote temperature probe so that the unit can monitor the actual surface temperature where it matters. You simply plug your heating unit in to the electric outlet on this thermostat, put the temperature probe in a good spot to monitor, and plug the thermostat into a power outlet. Once you set the time and temperature, which is explained in the instructions, and can also be seen in the video on the product listing page, it is a forget about it unit from there. I am using mine to control two heating pads made for reptile tanks which are both plugged into a heavy duty multi plug wall socket adapter I have plugged into the thermostat receptacle. I am using it in an outside kennel for outdoor cats to get out of the cold. I placed the temperature probe on the side near the bedding I have made up, and the mats are attached to both sides of the kennel a bit farther back. This is a truly set it and forget it arrangement which uses little power when holding temperature, and none when the temperature rises above the set point. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and the cats definitely approve and give it two claws up. They file out in the morning stretching and yawning after sharing a room for the night, and even the ones that don't like each other much sleep together without arguments they love it so much. This thing is the bomb for safe heat control with energy efficiency as well. If you need it, buy it, you can't go wrong!

Works perfect
Bought this for my son's snake lamps and it works perfect.

Works good but not for what I needed it for.
This reptile Thermostat functions well, but unfortunately, it doesn't meet my specific needs as it doesn't adjust the speeds of an exhaust fan. If you're looking for temperature control in a reptile habitat, it's effective, but it may not be suitable for fan speed adjustments.I really do like it all and all, I did try it out on my bearded dragon enclosure for his heat lamp and it does work pretty good. It offers precise temperature control for my reptile's habitat, ensuring a comfortable environment. The easy-to-use interface and accurate readings make it a great investment for maintaining optimal heating conditions, but I already have his tank setup with a thermostat and his heat lamps which are mercury vapor for the UVA + UVB rays reptiles need for a healthy life.Solid build quality though and reliable performance. Highly recommended for reptile enthusiasts, but as I said before it didn't for my exhaust fan that extracts stale air from the enclosure. For lights it works great though to dim the light when it gets to hot or turn it up when it's to cold.

Awkward device doesn't work with any of the heat lamps I use
I don't quite understand how this device is supposed to function. It has a setting in it where it slowly ramps up the power from 0 to 100% when it starts up. However every heat lamp I have ever owned requires a sharp start up current to light, and if you ramp up the power slowly it just won't turn on at all. So I have been unable to use this for it's intended function because my heat lamps just won't turn on in the morning when the timer turns on the power. To use it I have to plug it in, wait several minutes for it to reach full power, and then plug the heat lamp back into it, which defeats the entire purpose of a timer system. The temperature probe and other functions work well enough, but I don't think I would recommend this product to anyone because I don't think it works with most common brands of heat lamps. Mine has become just a temperature probe with a display screen and nothing plugged into it.

Works great with heat emitters
I have this regulating a pair of heat emitter bulbs in my terarrium and it works great. It holds the temp I have set, in the area I placed the prob, by adjusting the power output. So if I have the terrarium lid open and let the heat out. This dimming thermostat will detect the drop in temp at the prob and boost the power output (to my heat emitters) untel the temp is back to my programed setting. It will also lower the power to keep the heat steady at the set temperature. It doesnt turn the power on and off like a switch, instead is changes the power % rating to the bulbs. So they are still on all the time but regulated. I love this as I dont have to worry about a heat emitter making it too hot in the terrarium because its a higher powered bulb. The dimmer will automatically lower the power to keep the temp at the set temperature. Its easy to program and adjust your settings. It has a big display so its easy to read the current temp and see the power % being used to hold that temp currently.

Nice thermostat
This is a nice thermostat. It’s a great budget option and it performs as it should. I figured it out without directions. Really easy to work with. I’ll be ordering a few of these as I get more setups going. It’s a nice product.
