Is the 600 lumens constant or does it go dimmer like some reviews have stated.

In my experience the light stays constant. What I've found will happen is when the battery is getting low and in need of recharging, once you turn the light on it will momentarily flash off and on for a second or so before automatically turning back on again. that momentary flashing is the lights way of telling you that you need to recharge the battery. But in my experience it does NOT go dimmer.

Why does it say it doesnt come with the batteries but reviews say it does?

The only answer I can offer is that of a logical one. I believe it's fair to say that whoever wrote the article made a mistake & didn't check their information properly. After all they probably have never used the head torch, just gone by a photo perhaps. However, the reviews are written by those who've bought the torch & have probably read the instructions.
