Take a deep breath and read this review before writing a bad one!
Scroll to the bottom paragraph for a tl;Dr on how to fix it if half the slats don't fitI get it. I was right where you are right now. I am 6 months pregnant, and have never been one to think about stuff like bedframes. When it started to get hard to get off my mattress on the floor (and I got tired of having my room look like a bachelor pad), I got the cheapest one possible, with a baby on the way.It came, and stubborn me decided to build it on my own. It was surprisingly easy at first. I was able to assemble it on my own in my crowded bedroom, sitting on the floor. Nothing was too heavy (though the box was a pain), no angles too tight, the screws fit nicely. Then the slats. I got the first half (the side that is meant to be the foot of the bed, with the curved legs) in fine. I used the side of my fist as a mallet, working my way back from the center brace. The second half was MUCH harder. I had to bend out the side of the frame a bit to get the first one in. I figured maybe it just needed "braced" open by the slat, no biggie. I could do that a few more times. The second one required help. My partner and I had to pry a cap off a slat and pull the frame open to fit it. And they only got narrower from there.Twenty minutes and a lot of cuss words later, my partner decided to try unscrewing the legs off that side, slipping the slats in place, and screwing it back together. With 6 nuts per leg, that was going to suck. While they did that, I sat on our floor mattress and opened Amazon, going to write a negative review and see if a refund were possible.I saw that "fit" was a common topic for reviews, and clicked on it. I immediately saw several reviews talking about how half the slats didn't fit, and one positive one. Reading that one, it pointed out that the two legs at the head of the bed were separate parts, unlike the legs at the foot, and to make sure they were placed so that the slots in the back were facing the back rather than the side.I had my partner unscrew both legs (they protested, saying they just wanted to undo one and put the slats in that way, but there was a 1" different between the slats and the ends, so that was never going to work) and swap them. They fit like a glove. My new bedframe is sturdy, and I need to get better at reading directions. I'm very happy to not have to climb off the floor anymoreTL;DR: If the slats don't fit, swap the two legs on that side. The wide, slotted part is meant to face the short end of the frame. If you have them placed wrong, your supports will not fit.

If it seems like the slats are too long....
You have reversed the top 2 legs. Make sure the headboard slots are faced to head of the bed... instead of the sides... that will insure all the slats fit in easily.Easy to put together, looks nice. Is solid. High enough for lots of storage underneath. This is 2nd purchase. Now have king and queen. Both work great!

Missing a rubber foot/cap
First off most the bad reviews seem to be people putting the headboard end together wrong, and you can usually even see the backwards legs in the pictures. I went ahead and ordered one and it went together fine. Paying close attention to which leg goes on the right vs left helps a lot. The headboard mounting holes point towards the headboard, not to the sides. Go figure...My own issue is that one of the rounded posts at the foot end is missing the rubber cap that acts as a foot and would protect my recently refinished floors from the metal of the leg. The frame went together perfectly fine otherwise. Hopping the company might see this and send a replacement part as some have reported or else I'll have to look into returning it or something.

Simple Bed. Perfect for Price
My cousin recently moved into a new place and needed a bed. Something affordable but good. This isn't a fancy bed frame or anything that will impress others, but it does exactly what its meant to do!Set Up:The bed is very easy to assemble and the tools needed are provided in the box. If you have experience, you can likely do it in 20-30 minutes. If you are new to putting together furniture, maybe 1-2 hours. But the steps are laid out in an easy to read manner and I think almost anyone could do it.Looks:Like I said, the bed frame isn't anything fancy, but it is a bed frame. You can put your mattress on it and all you see are the 4 legs so I think it is perfect.Use:The bed frame is very sturdy and safe. As there is nothing holding the mattress in place, if it is for a child, I would recommend placing the bed in a corner so its less likely to move as the kids play around. But otherwise, for a teen/adult, this bed is the ideal starter bed that will last for many years. (We've only had it for a few months now, but it still looks like its brand new).

Need to remove the black end caps as you put the last few cross bars on
Easy to put together. Very sturdy. The width of the frame at the head is shorter than the width of the foot of the bed frame, but all the cross bars are the same length. I figured out I can remove the plastic end caps attached to the cross bars to make them fit at the head of the bed. I also had to use a very sticky double sided tape, like area carpet tape, to keep the mattress from sliding all over the place.

Easily my favorite buy
The bed frame is really good. Its very sturdy, easy to put together, and high enough for most boxes and kid toy box to fit under it. Im very pleased with it. Had to buy another one for my other child

FOLLOW THE DIAGRAMS EXACTLY
My apologies to the designer. Mea maxima culpa- I missed one very important thing on the diagrams- LEGS 2 AND 3 MUST be positioned on the corners shown. DO NOT MIX THEM UP. I had reversed them and the slats would not fit at that end. I wrote a scathing review, then calmed down and went back to the pictures to see if there was something I could adjust or do to make it work, as I really liked the frame. Voila! I found my error. Again, I apologize to the designer and the company. This frame is SUPER easy to put together if you do not mix up leg 2 and 3. If your slats don't fit, double check which side you put legs 2 and 3 on.
