Imperial CatNeat 'n Tidy, Heavy Duty Litter Mat for Pets

I recently moved to a new house. My four cats are confined to the bedroom until I finish unpacking. (It's a big bedroom, and they have full access to the large master bath and two walk-in closets as well.) But all of these areas are carpeted, save a tiny room with a shower and toilet. So I needed some better litter mats, preferably large ones. I bought three of these.I will say, the primary reason I chose this mat is because of the size. Also, I was mostly looking to control the spread of cat litter. (A secondary desire was to keep urine from cats who miss the box, off the carpet.) These mats are good for what I wanted. (I bought three of them.)My cats have kicked out a lot of litter, but it all pretty much stays on the mats. I can either vacuum them or shake them over the trash to get the litter out. The mats are large enough to have at least a few inches (if not more) on all sides, with the box in the middle. They're flexible so I can do things like stick them under the vanity or partially protect the wall with one.The texture is fine. The cats scratch at it a bit (I mean like scratching post scratching, not litterbox scratching). I have walked across one and it doesn't bother my feet.Please note: these are plastic and should not be put in the washing machine! Wash them with soapy water and let air dry.I definitely made the right choice with these. They do everything I hoped they would and the cats are OK with them, too.

This is the second mat that I ordered in an attempt to keep my little kitten from grinding the litter into my carpet. (For such a small, dainty little thing, she sure does create a mess when she wants to. LOL!) This product works wonderfully and is so easy to vacuum clean. My only small dislike, which is why I gave it four stars instead of five, is that it does not always stay where I put it. My first mat is anchored by the litter pan. This second one is in front of the first and there is always a gap between the two no matter how many times I fix it. That's my only "complaint" and it's not even that. This is a great product! I highly recommend it!

I have bought two of these mats. The first one when I opened it had indents, missing fibers from how it was folded. So it looked like 2 lines but I needed a mat because I throw the other one out. Well, the mat worked so well that I bought another one. This second one also came with a line from the fold of missing material but only one this time. I just put the litter box on the uneven area. To me....no litter on my hardwood floors was more important than a line in the mat. It keeps the litter off the floor and to date the best litter mat that I have used. The material is that of an indoor/ outdoor carpet.

My cat is good at keeping the urine and even the litter inside the box. He doesn't urinate outside the box ever and he doesn't spray from inside the box onto the wall or onto the floor or mat. Sometimes he sprays the back wall of the litter box and lid, but that's not a big deal.My main problem with the litter box is the litter he carries out in his paws. This mat is almost twice as wide as the litter box and really long, so he has lots of time to shake the litter loose after getting out. The dense plastic material catches the litter well, also. Since putting it down, the amount of litter in my room has decreased considerably. Less litter, less vacuuming, happier owner.If I needed to wash this often, it wouldn't work. Also, I think it looks fine. It's not unattractive to me. It's just very neutral looking. Yes, there are fold marks as someone mentioned, but it still lies quite flat.

I got these as part of my never-ending quest to keep litter at the litter box. I have 2 of these around the litter box, and they do help, but I still find litter tracked several feet from it, so it does not catch all of the litter. Maybe I have a ninja cat that has figured out how to get past the mats without stepping on them? But when I've seen him there, he walks over it, and doesn't mind the feel of the rug on his paws, so I don't think he is avoiding the rug, rather it just doesn't catch all of the litter from his feet.

This litter box is huge I was not expecting it to be so big. the only issue I have is the litter with urine on it tends to stick to the box, but that could be the litter I am using and not the box so I get a scooper and scrape it once it is loose the box works like it should. I have no issues with the number 2 situation and my cat loves it so far. He is a picky kitty and as always had issues with the bathroom and he has not had any issues since I got this litter box. My cat love to watch me roll his box to clean it.

The only thing wrong I have to say about this cat mat is that I should've gotten it a lot sooner! I had the kind of mat with tiny holes that was hard to clean. In addition, I still had litter tracks from the cats splattering their litter everywhere. But once I put this Imperial Cat big boy down, for whatever reason the cats now do not fling their litter into the wild blue yonder half across the floor in the room ANYMORE!The small litter that does land on the mat is very easy to vacuum. Very little if any cat tracks get on my floor now. Just vacuum when you see the litter collect to prevent tracking. I have a hooded cat box and sometimes can get away with skipping a day of vacuuming.

This is the best litter mat we were able to find. With all of the other ones, the litter would scatter everywhere, as they did not hold onto it as well. This mat catches much of the litter in the bristles so there is less scatter, plus it is a bit larger than most so it has a larger area to catch the mess. Our cats tend to quickly jump out of their boxes so of course litter still gets outside of the mat, but definitely does a better job than most.. Easy to clean up with just a quick vacuum. The color is nice as well, gray with a black border.
