This ballast has been working great with my indoor setup during a test I’m putting it through. It powers a 1000 watt HPS bulb with no issues and the dimmable feature makes it easy to adjust intensity during different stages of growth. The build feels sturdy and well put together and it stays cool enough during long runs with only some warmth from the housing which makes complete sense considering 1000w is a lot of power. Setup was simple and the connectors fit firmly with no loose ends that I could feel. It runs quietly and has not caused any flickering or restarts which shows the electronics are well engineered and stable. The light output has been very bright and strong with good consistency, and the dimming control gives me full control for when I do not need the full brightness it provides. If you are setting up an indoor grow area that need reliable light control, this ballast performs as expected and feels dependable for long term use. If anything changes or problems arise, I’ll provide updates.

This product appears to be of very good quality and workmanship. It is exactly what I needed so that I can start my plants early in the season, as early as January or February so that when planting season begins I am able to start my vegetables and flowers with a good head start compared to all other plants that are started as late as May or June, by seed.

My first time trying product, was not happy. Ballast looked great out the box. After plugging it in couldn't get the light to get bright, after 10 minutes it turned off. After 5 min it turned back on. Turned watts down to 600 watts, was able to get Ballast to stay on without turning off. But the light never got bright enough for my tent size. I noticed the Ballast was very hot to the touch and it didn't have any vents for air to circulate. Might have something to do with the Ballast being so hot. Just a idea. I would not buy this Ballast again.

For $99 this is a nice quality unit. It is not light weight and that's a good thing. I've ordered these junk digital ballasts fro. Vivosun and the likes. They break down, crappy build quality. I definitely recommend for a budget buyer and someone who wants good lighting compared to led. I personally love the bulbs. I hate led and I've grown under all types including fluorescent tunes. This is an excellent product. My one star rating for weight is to reflect its not light weight and because of that is superior in quality compared to other Ballasts.

I put a fan at the edge where the power emits a lot of heat to keep it cool, otherwise better quality than the hortilux and smaller units that seem to run cold cause there's a hole in it to absorb dust and dirt.

Works very well, and comes with a super HPS mode for over 1000 watts.
