I’ve used the same bag for almost a year... I’m thinking it could use a washing! Any special instructions?

While the product indicates it is "designed" in California I don't recall seeing any markings that states where the cotton is from.

Is Doppelgänger Goods a legit company? I can find no other info about them on the web.

Everything came in legit, they even ha follow up emails to see how I was enjoying the product and had any questions or concerns. Its a good bag too, had it almost a year now. Living in south Texas, it gets year round use.

How is this product certified organic?

It is made in China, so rest assured the certification is totally legit, just like my Louis Vuitton bag I picked up in China Town. And I’m sure it does not have lead contaminants in it from the equipment used in their manufacturing process - they would never do that. Honestly, if you want organic, China is the last place I would buy from. There air is toxic in many places and it gets into everything. Good luck
