Sometimes we'll put it on a lick mat and put the mat in the freezer for awhile, which keeps her occupied MUCH longer. If you're sensitive to smell (they contain fish - so it does have that familiar aroma), freezing it also dampens that aroma. So happy to find something that 1) actually lists phosphorus and sodium, 2) has levels appropriate for a pet with CKD, AND 3) that she's so excited for. When you have a pet with CKD, that's like seeing a unicorn...
