Great camera, equally great customer service
I purchased two of these cameras in April 2024 in order to capture high resolution images and video of the wildlife that visited our garden. In part they were also to establish which animals were responsible for feasting on our plant life! The functionality and imagery from these cameras is very good especially for the price point. They also provide in my opinion very good audio quality and I have not been disappointed. The motion sensors are also very responsive, easily reacting to mice from over 6ft away.A couple of weeks ago I was having issues with ‘fogging’ in the lens of one of the cameras which unfortunately completely ruined any captured video/photos. I reached out to Meidase customer support with details of the problem along with screenshots of the recordings and photos of the camera lens itself. Meidase customer support was first class, responding very quickly and sending me a replacement camera within a few days, no quibble at all. Also, they did not just send a replacement camera ‘body’ so to speak but a whole new retail package which includes the battery, straps, charging cable etc. Absolutely top drawer service which is not always something we see, especially for an item that is not exactly cheap. Still very happy with the cameras and very pleased with Meidase for sorting out a replacement camera so quickly.

Great camera and great sellers!! Highly recommend
The item is exactly what I wanted, it ticked all the boxes for what I was looking for. I had an issue after using it for around 6 months (only use it in the spring and summer) and I sent an email, not expecting such an amazing response, they replied straight away and they rectified the issue after working out the problem. The camera itself is very easy to set up and work, the videos it captures is great considering it’s night time when used. I would highly recommend the camera and the sellers!

So far not good
Meidase P100P Wildlife Camera WiFiFeedback support in meidase app does not work. Emailed support so will see if they fix the issues. So far not been able to get this to function after 2 weeks.1. Jerky when playing test videos2. Not picking up movement when in place.3. Camera only shows dark.. not switching to night vision. Will follow up if we get this to work.

4 cameras
I originally bought a single trail camera.I founda. the battery lasted well (over 5 months and still going) before it needs recharging.b. the ability to view the results remotely very usefulc. the ability to reformat the SD card and alter the camera settings remotely also useful. You can keep the camera setup insitu and yet see results.I have eventually finished up with 4 cameras. The ones in the garden and around the pond can be viewed from the house, you can see the view from the camera in real time from your armchair. One camera developed a fault which the supplier rectified without a quibble.I would highly recommend these cameras.

Excellent quality videos
Easy to use & set up. Picture & video quality is fantastic, particularly at night. The sound is great, which is not what I am use to.

A mixed bag of pros and cons
Initially I was expecting more from this cam as it is good but it does have it's issues. The cam is easy to set up and install and it does capture video in full HD quality but that is positive aspect is overshadowed by the fact that it doesn't have a built in rechargeable battery. It takes eight (8) AA batteries to power the cam but the instructions recommend that disposable batteries are usaed rather than rechargeables.. The manufacturer recommends that rechargeables are not used with this cam so operating it is expensive and costly to the environment if one is regularly disposing of depleted disposable batteries that will end up in a landfill. The cam comes with an outdated USB lead that will be suitable for many outdated cameras and it is short so it really serves no purpose unless one sits with the camera whilst useing a power bank to power it via the USB lead. The other negative is the data storage, this cam holds the old and outdated HD Memory Cards but can handle up to 512GB so a large capacity card can store a lot of video content and 1,000s of images. On a positive note, SDHD Memory Cards are cheap to buy so one can cheaply build a collection if the cam is used regularly.Although one can use an app with this camera one must have his / her phone within a maximum of 15 metres and it the app does have WiFi connection capability but once again I can't see much use for the WiFi app unless the camera is installed onto the external wall of one's home to keep it within range of one's home WiFi. As with the short USB lead I can't see how the manufacturer thinks a WiFi app is going to be of any use in the middle of an isolated forest or high up a barren mountain etc..The overall quality and of the camera is good but it's the powering of it, the outdated memory card and the useless USB lead that lets this product down.It has good nightvision capability but for some reason rather than charge an extra £10 to £15 to have an internal USB rechargeable battery, a 1Tb capable micro HD card slot and be compatable with rechargeable AA batteries for a back up, or add another £5 and make it solar powered the manufacturer has opted to cut corners and costs of production when it doesn't need to. The cost cutting has made this product become one that could have potential become a very mixed bag of pros and cons so I can't recommend it but then again for use close to the home I can. Personally I would add a little more to my budget and go for a camera that is rechargeable and not only has a micro SD card slot but actually comes with a memory card included so it can be used straight from the box. It's a good qualioty camera but I do feel that it is not good value.
