Great little camera!
This device has many features. The image is very crisp during the day and at night. You also have the option of turning on the led to obtain full color at night. I really like how simplified the user interface is and the instructions for setup are a breath of fresh air, being that it's full color and the text is large enough read. The battery seems to be very good. Of course if you put this in a high traffic area, the battery will be depleted quicker. You can always hardwire it as well. A solar panel might be an additional option. Battery status is right on the live screen so you never have to guess how much is left. It has optional storage but also includes 3 days of cloud storage at no cost. Overall a great value and it's packed with features. Would definitely recommend!

Great protection at modest cost
After buying the Eversecu motion light for my front entrance I thought I would go the extra step and add a camera. This small unit with its abundant features looked to be a good option. After receiving and installing it I am pleased to find that it lives up to its many positive reviews.Installation was a breeze, the only negative being that they forgot to enclose any screws for the base. No problem, I have a supply of many sizes. Being so small it is easy to find an unobtrusive location to install the camera. The viewing angle is generous and the quality of the picture is fine. The O-Kam app is intuitive and makes connecting and setting up the camera quite easy. However, like any piece of software, it has a learning curve and takes some time to understand exactly how each feature works. The instruction sheet that comes with the unit is comprehensive, however, and gives you the basics to start you off. At first I didn’t install a flash card. I mistakenly thought that the “three days” of cloud storage meant that you always had memory of the most recent three days of camera activity, but that anything before then would not be kept. Not so. What it means is that from installation of the camera you have three days to see how the cloud storage works, but then it turns off unless you opt for a subscription. Without a subscription you must have a card installed in order to preserve your recordings beyond the three days. But cards are cheap. I was hoping that the sensitivity of the motion detection would be a bit better. At the “far” setting it detects an approaching person from about 30 ft.. This is adequate for my needs, but I have a large front lawn and earlier detection would be even better.I am still learning how to use all the features of the camera and which of them are most suitable to my needs. The O-Kam app will accommodate multiple cameras and I plan to get at least one more to monitor the back of my property. Given the reasonable cost of the Eversecu B8 the security provided is well worth the modest investment.

camera great, app ho-hum
The media could not be loaded. Â I've got a few cameras scattered around my yard, mostly to capture suburban wildlife (cats, raccoons, cats, squirrels, cats). Some are FHD and some are 2K. This camera is FHD (1920x1080), but I'd say the picture quality is pretty good. I've included a video that I made just now. It's FHD on a fairly sunny day. It doesn't show much, but it should give you an idea of the quality. One of the first things you'll notice when you unbox this camera is the many options you have for mounting it with its companion solar panel. You can either mount the panel directly to the top of the camera (that's what I did) or mount the solar panel separately and connect it with provided cables. They provide a short cable on the solar panel and a long micro-usb extension cable. The extension cable includes a cover to keep water out where the cables plug into each other. They provide screw-hole templates for the camera and the solar panel and a full set of screws and drywall anchors in case you need them. It's very complete and provides a lot of options. The mounts are the ball-and-socket type, so you can aim the camera and the solar panel where you want them.Of course, it's very handy to be solar powered. I installed it in a location where I don't have convenient power. I've had it going for a week or so, and the battery indicator in the app looks nearly full every time I've checked it. I'm getting 4-6 motion triggered alerts per day and so far none at night. You're not going to be able to do continuous 24/7 monitoring with it, but you don't expect that with solar power. The down side of this camera is that it's yet another camera that needs a proprietary app to access it. It seems like every different camera, even from the same brand, needs some different phone/tablet app to access it. Even though I really don't like that, I can't knock this camera for requiring an app since most of the low-cost cameras are set up that way. It makes it tricky or impossible to integrate the camera into any home automation or home security system. However, I have to say that I dislike the UBox app needed for this camera. Its user interface is attractive enough and looks modern in design. The problem is that there's no explanation of what some of the options do. For example, there is a setting called "Scene mode", with the choices "Normal" and "Night Mode". What's the difference? Beats me. After a few experiments, I couldn't make heads nor tails of it. There is another setting called "Sleep delay". I thought that would be how much video was captured on motion detection before the camera went back to standby, but it doesn't seem to be the case. There are several things like that, and there is no help in the app. Here are some things I have yet to figure out (maybe they are not possible with this app):- I want the camera to switch to IR night vision automatically when it gets dark and switch off IR night vision when it's light again. I figured out how to switch it manually, but that's not really acceptable.- I want to block out some areas from motion detection (waving branches and so on). As far as I can tell, the entire frame is considered for motion detection. It seems likely that if I chase the information enough I can figure all this stuff out, but I shouldn't have to. If you are willing to do that, you will have an nice piece of hardware at a decent price. That said, setup of the camera through the app was pretty simple and easy. It's voice guided (the voice is very loud), and you pair it by showing the camera a QR code displayed by the app.

Very solid camera at a great price, and solar
It's amazing to me the technology and feature set that is packed into this camera, and at such an attractive price. The app is very intuitive compared to others I've tried, and the pairing is really simple, especially if you already have another camera from Eversecu as I did. the motion detection and alerts work reliably, and the image quality is exactly what you'd expect from the resolution and excellent for most household purposes. The speaker and alarm also work well. All of this for $50 with the solar panel is a steal !
