I love the BUDI Multifunctional 9-in-1 USB C SD Card Reader! I can see why other reviews have been positive. First of all, let me talk about the speed - 5Gbps read and write speeds are lightning-fast, making it perfect for transferring high-definition movies or files. The fact that it supports OTG function on mobile phones is also a major plus, allowing me to charge my phone using its 65W fast charging cable. The build quality of this USB C SD card reader is top-notch. The aluminum alloy construction gives it a premium feel, and the rubber cover provides excellent protection against scratches and damage. I've been carrying this around with me for days now, and it still looks like new. I love that it's plug-and-play, with no drivers required. This makes it easy to use on multiple devices, including computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. The high-performance built-in chip also allows me to read three memory devices at once, making it a breeze to transfer data from various sources. The compact size (160 x 41.8 x 19.7mm) and lightweight design (110g) make it easy to toss into my bag or pocket, without compromising on functionality. Love this memory multitool, it’s the Swiss army knife for the digital age!! Reads and stores all of my cards from my cameras and other devices with no installation or set up needed. It just works.

The internal housing is incredibly cheap plastic that gets hot quickly but the outer shell is aluminum and can hold up to some trashing about. Writing and extracting data is simple as could be as soon as I plugged in the device to my phone every card was recognized instantly I utilized both the micro sd slot as well as the sd card slot at the same time for maximum speed and efficiency. Included in the package is a relatively sturdy carrying strap it is adjustable and the weakest part of that design is the part that attaches to the device but the cord itself is high quality. I initially went with this product because of its compact size and excellent utilization of every inch of space as the built in cord storage and three different compatibility plug heads to ensure any device can be connected to make this a super versatile tool to keep in a troubleshooting kit or laptop bag.

I have multiple 3 D printers, scanners, drones, and cameras as well as several other electronic devices that utilize various micro SD cards. For years they could be found in several boxes, on top of cabinets, randomly laying on a book shelf or tossed into my backpack with the bottom line being I had no idea where they were or how many I had. This year I decided to resolve the issue with the purchase of a storage system to contain them all. I came across this reader while looking for a simple storage container. Once I found this BUDI [Upgrade Model] Multifunctional 9 in1 SD Card Reader Cable and USB 3.0 TF/SD Type-C Card Reader I purchased it. The device filled all the needs I had when I purchased it and surprised me with several I was not looking for. I have utilized on a MacBook, a HP Windows Laptop, an iPhone, and Samsung Galaxy Note 10. On all of these devices not only did I have my SD cards handy but I was able to read and write with a simple USB connection. The unit travels well in my backpack and now I have only one larger item to keep track of. I was hesitant when I first ordered this but now that I have been using it for over a month I can not see my self without it. If you are like me and have multiple SD cards from multiple devices I highly recommend this item for your storage and reader solution.

I've read conflicting reviews about how well this works with iPad, so I'm happy to report that it works very well with my iPad 9th gen using the OTG Lightning adapter. I was able to transfer a few dozen gigabytes of GoPro footage to and from my iPad / micro SD card / USB thumb drive using this tool. Passthrough charging worked also. But there are three things to be aware of: First, this is an unpowered hub. This means that you will not be able to do things like copy from a micro SD card directly to a USB thumb drive. This is because the lightning port simply doesn't provide enough power to drive both devices at the same time. This isn't Budi's fault, it's true no matter what brand you use. Using the USB-C port to add power is an option, but then you'd have to use the USB-A port to connect to the iPad, leaving no other USB ports available for the thumb drive. I didn't realize this ahead of time so I had to copy footage from the microSD to my iPad, unplug the microSD, plug in the USB, then copy from the iPad to the USB. It *might* be possible to use a separate powered USB hub plugged into the USB-A port. I haven't tried this and will update my review if I do. Second, the USB cable in my unit bulges out slightly when it's tucked into the storage slot. This causes the outer housing to catch, and unfortunately this has chewed up the cable's insulation a bit. The cable itself is nothing special, so you can solve this by simply carrying a USB-C / USB-C cable separately. I used an 18" high-quality cable without any problems, and honestly that made the whole setup a lot easier to work with. Finally, there's conflicting information about the warranty. The product description advertises a one-year warranty, but the manual that comes with the stick says the warranty is only 15 days. All in all it's a great travel tool. I use it to back up footage from my GoPro to cloud storage or a USB drive via my iPad. Definitely a worthwhile purchase as long as you can live with its limitations.

Great lil device. Would appreciate it to have a bit more weight too it. Material feels mad fragile as if one good fall and something my shatter internally. Other than that. Works as described. Just missing that UMPH!! Ya know. Also it really sucks that it doesn’t had SD card storage. As a shooter, that would’ve saved me a lot of time from switching from my SD card case to this. If it’s to be a semi all in one than SD card storage should be a no brainer. The design style that they were aiming at I can understand though. Just should’ve made it more durable in feel as well as design. It’s easily compatible with my Mac. No connectivity issues. Transfer time was pretty spot on for me even with my larger RAW files. The price point was a get what you pay for type of deal so. I’m not really feeling as if I lost. It’s pretty versatile with all the connections it has though. No matter what the situation is. It damn near connects with every for of media

Got this for a photo safari to store memory cards and double as the chip reader. Has plenty of space for my needs, nice sleek form factor and is great to have both my cards and reader in one package.

I've been using my Budi for nearly a year at this point and I absolutely love it. You can connect it 'raw' to your phone and transfer files from an SD or microSD card and back with out any special app. It just shows up as another storage (similar to installing another SD/microSD into your phone). The aluminum can bend and cause some minor issues but isn't too bad. The included USBc to USBc cable is extremely handy for transferring from phone to the Budi or back. Over all it's a great product that just needs a little fine tuning.
