NKJV Personal Size Large Print Bible with 43,000 Cross References, Pink Leathersoft, Red Letter, Comfort Print

I ordered the pink Leathersoft Bible. The print is a little smaller than my last large print Bible, but about average for the size of the Bible. I checked to make sure all the pages were there, that other people said we’re missing or mixed up. I didn’t notice any missing or mixed up pages at first glance. Also, apparently they used to make this Bible with the thumb index feature, according to some of the reviews; but, the one I received in April 2025 does not have it, nor does the box specify that it does. I hope this Bible lasts longer than my last one, because my previous Leathersoft Bible cover is completely worn out from normal use. Real leather is better if you can afford it!

Pretty. Big letters and very comfy

I love the purple color and the soft leather like cover. The red lettering is important to me to see where Jesus is talking. I especially love the tabs for quick reference when flipping to the particular book in the Bible the pastor is reading a passage from.

The NKJV, in my opinion, is a superior translation. It does a fantastic job of allowing the individual authors' voices to come through in the text. The wording is clear, and flows easily while remaining true to the original manuscripts. The translation team has included translation notes wherever other manuscripts differ significantly with the Recieved Text that was used for translating. As the preface for the translation notes; "The textual references in the NKJV attempt to make no evaluation of variant readings but seek instead to present facts objectively." The Personal Size Giant Print NKJV that I received is, indeed, a relatively small size, and, yet, the font is incredibly easy to read. For a Bible to be this compact, the print is sufficiently large. A larger print would necessitate it being thicker. If your eyes are bad (mine are pretty bad, and I have no trouble reading it), you may have to step up to a larger Bible with a bigger font. This font is 11.5, which is substantially larger than what you get in most books. The binding is excellent, the quality of paper is beyond reproach, the print is line-matched from page to page to reduce ghosting, the copious cross references and translarion notes are an incredible feature, the Glossary/Concordance is handy and quite extensive, and, the maps are beautifully rendered. It's a good choice for someone who, like me, wants to let the Bible interpret itself. I doubt that any better Bible will be found in this price range. I couldn't be happier, and I am sure I will be spending hours reading and studying this Bible.

Beautiful and easier to read

Easy to read print in a small sized Bible perfect to take to Church, on road trips, vacations, and weekend get aways. The red lettering is great and the maps in the back add value to the acriptures.

This is a very clean Bible, not distracting or difficult to read. I love the reference verses at the bottom of the page. The last NKJV bible I had, had the reference verses at the end of each verse, and the bottom of the page was filled with notes like “nu-text omits the word ____”. I found myself getting distracted with these notes and losing focus of what I was reading. I do agree NKJV is one of the most wholesome versions of the Bible you can choose because the original text is there and verses are not excluded like in NIV and ESV, but I don’t find it helpful to constantly turn my focus on this! So I bought this bible and I love it. My ONLY complaint is it has a strong “new” smell. Hopefully it fades after time!
