essence Lash Without Limits Extreme Lengthening & Volume Mascara, Brown

I was sick and tired of trying different makeup techniques, tricks and hack for avoiding raccoon eyes. Until I finally heard about tubing mascaras helping avoid it! All the ones that were recommended and that I see are expensive! Over $25 is insane. So when I came across this, an inexpensive option, it doesn’t hurt to try. And man is this gold, I love it so much, it’s now my daily mascara, easy removal, looks so good, doesn’t clump and no raccoon eyes!!!!! I do notice little bit of flaking here and there but that’s probably because I have naturally longer lashes that rub against each other at the corners and my under age but it doesn’t hurt to just dust it off. I just came back from a jog and… this is why I’m writing a review, NO RACCOON EYES. Forever will be repurchasing this!!

This review is for the TUBING VERSION in the BLACK TUBE, not the nontubing in the pink tube. I LOVE Essence Lash Without Limits TUBING Mascara. It goes on beautifully, smoothly with no clumping and lets me make either softly natural lashes for a subtle day look or big dramatic going out lashes with ZERO clumping during application and ZERO flaking if I happen to touch my eyes. I have hooded eyes and sometimes find other brands of mascara leave gray smudges on my upper lids during the day but not this TUBING version. (I emphasize the Tubing because Essence has non tubing mascara in a similar packaging that didn't perform as well as this). My eyes look great all day and even survived a few tears occasionally. I love being able to go about my life and not have to wonder if my mascara is failing and have to take time out to check it in a mirror. I just want to focus on living and not on how I look. Aside from the superior performance, I love that at night my routine is MUCH faster: I step into the shower, splash my eyes with warm water and quickly I feel the mascara come off, feeling like eraser shavings under my eyes. NO EYE MAKEUP REMOVER NEEDED!! Then I continue with my usual double cleansing (The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil) which dissolves sunblock on my face and neck, and any eyeshadow I have on. Some tubing mascaras leave black smudges around the eyes after removal and they you still have to go back after showering, with a cotton pad with eyemakeup remover to clean away the smudges but NOT with this one. This comes off very cleanly which saves me time. Also sometimes I use Retin A around my eyes and any rubbing no matter how gently with a cotton pad can cause irritation so having this mascara come off completely and cleanly in the shower is great. I'm now going through all the other mascaras I have before rebuying this but they all make me appreciate this one even more. My only wish is that it came in brown and navy as options.

Loving LOVING this mascara. It reminds me of the Cali Ray mascara but with a better price tag. The formula is wonderful, elongating, long lasting, easy to remove, won't stain, won't leave you with racoon eyes. It's the real deal and for the cost, you won't regret it... Great stocking stuffer actually!

For those with shorter lashes this essence Lash Without Limits Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara is probably 10/10. I always get bad raccoon eyes as my eyelashes touch my top and bottom eyelids so I had really high hopes that this waterproof version would be my solution. It went on really smooth, without clumping, and it is buildable. I love how it makes my lashes look long and full so that part is great. However, it still transfers to my skin. The smudged pictures were taken about an hour after application. I’ll still use with other makeup modifications to help prevent transfer, but I’ll still try other products in the essence line to hopefully find one that is perfect for me! Update: after the initial raccoon eye, the mascara holds up well even during water sports. For a mascar under $5, its well worth it.

I’m on a mission to find the best mascara for me, and my aging eyes. I haven’t worn mascara for years. This is the first tubing mascara I tried. I like the brown color, as it isn’t as harsh with my skin tone. I loved the volume and length it gave my lashes. My lashes looked like they did when I was much younger! It lifted my lashes and one coat was plenty to achieve the look I liked. The one thing I didn’t like about this particular mascara is that it is very wet. It takes a few minutes to dry. My lashes were touching the hooded area above my eyes and I had to keep cleaning off the mascara. It cleaned up very easily, just a damp Q-tip swiped it all away. I did like the outcome, but I am looking for something that doesnt leave a mark when I blink.

I love this mascara! If your lashes are short, straight and light (barely there) I highly recommend you give this one a try. Don’t be fooled by the brand or lower price. The quality is much higher than you’d expect! This formula is neither too wet nor too dry. If anything, it’s a tad on the drier side which I prefer bc it tends to coat my lashes better, isn’t messy to apply and doesn’t smudge. It’s buildable and really gives length and separation. The waterproof version stays in place without flaking. It does, however, require an oil to remove. This is my new favorite mascara to date and I’ve tried many brands! I currently have about 6-7 different ones including kill lash, an iron wand and several others and this is the best of them.

Love this mascara! Wanted to try something new and I’m glad I did! The mascara is light and doesn’t weigh down your lashes. Application is easy, it doesn’t clump and naturally provides length evenly without looking thick or heavy. Product is also inexpensive which is always a plus. Overall great product for the value, will be purchasing again!

This is an absolutely AMAZING tubing mascara for $5!! I usually use Tarte so i wasn't expecting anything similar bc of the price difference but OMG i do not think I'll be buying Tarte (or ANY highend) mascara anymore since I found this one. Essence can be very hit or miss, some of their products are really good and others not so much... but THIS is superb. I have it in black and brown and they are both great. It has a nice dry-ish formula that makes it perfect for coating your lashes w/o having them get all clumpy. It doesnt flake or smudge. I work in a production bakeshop n it gets very hot in some areas. I work 10hr shifts n my mascara doesnt budge. It won't go anywhere til you remove it at the end of your day/night. Says it comes off with water, and I'm sure it does since most tubing does, but I always use oil cleanser to remove my makeup then double cleanse so it definitely all gets washed off, very easily. Thats just my preferred method. The black is nice n dark and the brown is pretty but its not very dark at all. It kinda has a reddish brown base to it as opposed to a deep chocolate brown. I like it tho and it goes nice with certain eye and makeup looks. (sometimes i wear brown lashes so it works well with those if you wear brown) but I do prefer the black. I have a few other essence mascaras but this one is by far my fav (so far). It blows my mind that they make such great quality mascaras for such LOW prices... but TY!!! 🙂 I think they slay in the mascara game as far as all their products go. That and lip products. Totally worth every (very inexpensive) dollar!!!

Gostei muito da máscara de cílios, sempre usei tubing mascaras e essa não foi diferente! Eu costumava usar a turbo 7.0 ultra resistente da Eudora e ela era mais seca e não borrava tanto (mas também não construía camadas tão bem quanto essa), essa da Essence é mais molhada e líquida, parecida com a super up da Niina secrets, isso não é de tudo ruim, mas se você for desastrada igual a mim ela acaba fazendo uma baguncinha, mas sai bem fácil com o cotonete. Ela alonga muito bem os cílios, fica lindo e constrói camadas tranquilamente, só precisa esperar secar, por ela ser bem líquida, mas depois que seca, fica um efeito incrível! Ela dura muito e não borra, não te deixa panda de maneira alguma! Mas percebi que diferente das outras tubing mascaras que testei, ela é um tico mais sensível à água e sai muito fácil em tubinhos, não mancha mesmo, mas se vc chorar MUITO ou pegar uma chuva demasiadamente forte, pode ser que você acabe ficando sem a máscara se esfregar, pq ela vai sim sair em tubinhos. De qualquer forma, eu amei essa máscara, a embalagem é linda e o aplicador excelente, minha única reclamação é sobre ela ser muito líquida e, antes de secar, ela acaba borrando a pálpebra e sobre ela ser bem sensível a grandes quantidades de água (entendo que ela não é resistente à água, mas acho bacana falar isso). De resto, ela cumpre MUITO BEM a proposta que é ser uma máscara de longa duração (não borrando durante minhas corridas, nas quais eu acabo suando bastante), que alonga os cílios e que sai sem sujeira, com o curvex ela fica sensacional! Recomendo demais! Recompraria!

I have quite short, straight eyelashes. I've tried sooo many mascaras but none of them ever really wowed me. This has to be one of the best mascaras ever! Like I think I've found my HG. I've tried other tubing mascaras like the Natio one, but this Essence mascara lengthens and holds curl amazingly, no spider lashes. Hope this stays part of their permanent line.

Première fois que j'utilise un mascara tubing et je peux dire que je ne suis pas déçue. Déjà il gaine bien les cils, les allonge, les volumise et tient la courbure. Il ne coule pas ne s'effrite pas. Et ensuite, le démaquillage est d'une facilité déconcertante. Un peu d'eau tiède sur un coton et le mascara disparaît comme par magie. Et tout ça pour moins de 5€ !
