Voice activated
I was absolutely in love with this. When you talk, the lights change colors, but only. The 16th foot I ended up buying the hundred foot to add more and it is not voice activated. Also, if you were buying the 16 foot I would highly recommend buying a very small Phillips drill attachment. 100 ft comes with double sided tape works on popcorn ceiling nothing extra needed. I also bought Polly to put on top of it to make a cloud ceiling if you were going to do that YouTube says you should buy the 50 pound for a 12 x 12 room. You could do it for 20 lbs. also, if you do your ceiling like I did save your time and get a slap stapler.

Can't beat this for the price.
Some of the colors make this look almost like a neon tube instead of an LED strip! The controller works fine, but is pretty basic. I haven't tried the app though, so it might work a little better.Now on to the juicy stuff for anyone who was curious like me. On one of the long sides, is a clear section that has little black spots evenly spaced. MAKE SURE IT'S UNPLUGGED, and cut directly through the black spot to shorten the strip. I cut the rubber away to measure the strip inside. It's 8mm with 4 pins (+24v, G, R, B). I don't have connectors, but I don't see why you couldn't reconnect cut off parts to make custom designs.

LED Light Strip Review
Definitely one of the bed LED light strips out there, and I have tried a couple. Some times, on gadgets like these, you do not want to go for the 15 bucks for 100 ft options you know? This Strip has its bulbs denser, lighter and the colors are more vibrant to light up a 300 sqft bedroom just fine.

Power Adapter For Indoor Use Only
Its a cool item. The description says it is water proof proper for many uses. But when I got it, I realized the power adapter is labeled for Indoor use only. So, returned it.
