Easy to set up
Added this to my iMAC to provide storage for photos and 4K video. Easy to set up, with very good supporting software. It is very fast, and keeps up with Final Cut X as I had hoped. There is a little fan noise, but nothing objectionable. It is very comforting to know that everything on the four bay drive system is always backed up by virtue of the RAID 5 configuration. Not having to do additional backups (with Time Machine as an example) saves lots of time. At about $150 per terabyte it is a competitive price, considering that it includes the enclosure, power supply, RAID 5 hardware, and supporting software. The best part is the RAID implementation is done in hardware, and therefore much faster than software implementations used in other external storage products. Highly recommended.

Great back-up system
This system is easy to use and provides the level of security we need for my wife's pictures. If you have data that must be protected, this is the way to go.

Robust and Stable Raid System!!
I already have a Pegasus2 R4 8TB, its always a pleasure to have a Promise Raid system!! so far, everything stable and fast with my new Pegasus3 R4 16TB!
