Sooooooo easy to use & fab result.
It was my first time using a root touch up product so was a little unsure of the end result. I shouldnât have worried - the pack had all that was needed with clear upbeat instructions.Really pleased with the colour and professional look. Will now definitely be spacing out the pricey salon highlight appointments. Will be using again (& again!).

Good results
Very pleased with the results. I usually go to the hairdressers for this and pay over ÂŁ60. With this product I achieved the same results. It was very easy to use,however,people with very thick hair or roots over 1inch may need 2 boxes.

Excellent product for covering small areas of grey and blending well with hair colour
Although I am about to turn 70, I have only a small amount of grey around my front hairline and my short, fine but abundant hair is a dark blonde. I usually have 3 tones of warm highlights put in during the winter but this year it didn't happen, and the greys at my temples really started to annoy me. ÂŁ75 to have this dealt with at the hairdresser so I carefully read reviews of this product and applied it, leaving it on for 20 minutes rather than 10 to ensure the greys were blended in. I am truly delighted with the result as there is now no discernible grey at all. The tone is very slightly darker than necessary for me so I will use it for 10 minutes next time. An excellent solution at a great price, but do follow the advice to use old towels and clothing in case of staining. One tip which was helpful from my internet researches....apply lip balm generously on your facial skin along the hairline to avoid skin stains too.

Touch up your roots (2 x 15 ml products to mix together ~ apply to dry hair)
A handy product to colour roots, I find this is less of a faff than some products.The box includes an instruction leaflet that is sealed with a pair of plastic-type gloves inside.There is no conditioner supplied.The 2 x 15 ml products are numbered: â1â & â2â in the various diagrams and are easy to open. They are relatively easy to mix together with the application brush in the little transparent, plastic-type, oval shaped dish provided and, unexpectedly perhaps, the mixed product is creamy coloured to start with! There doesn't look like there will be enough, either, but there is, I find.I tend to leave on for the extra 5 minutes as advised in the instructions. The result is good and lasts until new growth starts to show.However, partings can look a bit coloured initially, in my experience.đ âAlways perform an allergy test and strand test prior to using the hair colourâooOoo~ CLAIROL~ ROOT TOUCH-UP~ PERMANENT HAIR DYESHADE: 4/DARK BROWNooOooThe root touch up set is presented in a cardboard box measuring around 16 cm x 7.5 cm x 5 cm, so not too bulky.The ingredients are clear, as are the instructions.I tend to wear rubber gloves rather than those supplied, as the colour is hard to remove from hands once developed, I find. I would recommend wiping away any residue around the hairline, back of the neck & ears before the wait time, for the same reason.The brush supplied is a good size and with the relatively thick blended product, little or no mess is created if care is taken, also in my experience.It is relatively easy to rinse away and the overall result is shiny, healthy looking hair, also in my experience.There is a fairly potent odour as you would expect with a product of this kind but not as bad as some. Covers well
Good price. I use this often to cover grey roots.I don't use the little brush that it comes with. I put on surgical gloves and rub it into my roots, which works a lot better. Good price.

Not permanent colour?
Iâve used this now for a couple of years but I find that it fades after a week.I only used a small amount of each tube and just do hairs on sides of my head and the top parting just where people can see really, so I get a few uses out of each box and I leave it on for longer like 30 mins, and it looks fab at first but then a week later it needs doing again? I donât think this is permanent?

Always perform an allergy test and strand test prior to using the hair colour. Mix small amounts of each of the hair colour ingredients (equal amounts) and apply to the skin on your elbow. Wait 48 hours to see if you have adverse reactions. Be careful not to wash it off! Use the remaining mixture for a strand test. Take a small cutting from your hair, around 1 inch from the root, underneath the crown, and apply the hair colour to this hair. Leave for the recommended time indicated on your hair colour product. Finally, rinse off the strand and dry it. Look at the strand.
Applying the Colour
1. Using the expert precision brush, apply the colour at the hairline of the sections into which you divided your hair. 2. Apply the colour around the face, part, and at the temples. 3. Make sure that you saturate your visible roots with the colour. 4. Use a baby wipe or wet washcloth to remove excess colour on your forehead or temple areas. 5. Once youâve touched up the exposed roots, let the colour sit for 10 minutes. (Note: If you have stubborn greys, leave it on for an additional five minutes and apply the colour in small sections rather than large ones.)
