Great Bike Especially for the Money
I love this bike. I've been using it 3 - 4 times per week for 4 months now and I'm continuously happy with it. It's solid and durable with a smooth, consistent ride. Here are some things I really like about the bike and some things I don't: Likes: - The bike is sturdy and heavy. The bike itself weighs almost 100lbs including the flywheel. It's built with a lot of metal to create a sturdy, heavy bike. I think the weight is a good sign. - The flywheel is also heavy - 40 lbs. This helps keep the pedaling even and smooth no matter how fast or slow you're pedaling. - Resistance. The resistance on this bike can go very very high so you can always find a challenge on this bike. I've used some magnetic resistance bikes before where the max resistance wasn't very challenging. Not so with this bike. You're guaranteed to find a nice challenge using this bike. - The metrics. This bike has a lot of useful metrics including total time spent on the bike, total distance travelled, heart rate, and RPMs. I use this bike to take spin classes online and RPMs was extremely useful in particular. - Adjustability. I'm 5' 7", 225 lbs. This bike is very comfortable for me to ride. No problems. Even when I'm standing up the bike it's comfortable and doesn't shake or anything like that. - Noise level. It's a very quiet ride no matter the resistance level. - No frills. There are no bells and whistles on this bike and I think that's a plus. There is no touchscreen monitor or app you have to download to use it. It nails the basics and offers a lot of bang for your buck. Dislikes: - The seat is uncomfortable. I found it so uncomfortable that I bought a different seat entirely and use that. - Not for shorter riders. I'm 5' 7" and I think I'm at the bottom range of comfort offered by this bike. I think that if you're shorter than 5' 7" you will find this bike not comfortable to ride. Overall, I'm a big fan of this bike. It offers a lot of bang for your buck. I actually look forward to using it each time because it's a great feeling bike and I don't worry about if it will hold up or shake too much while I'm working out. It's solid and has held up wonderfully over these last 4 months. I'm sure it'll last years.

and it was nice when calling them to just get a live person ...
Looking for a bike of this type I never considered Sunny until I started seeing the reviews on them. I was skeptical of the quality for that price. I also called the Sunny company directly several times for info and questions I had, and was impressed in their product knowledge, courteousness, and it was nice when calling them to just get a live person immediately who could answer the questions. Once deciding on Sunny, I had to decide on which model, and through much reading, comparing, and phone calls I went with the SF-B901B, and it turned out to be a wise move. For home use it is perfect for my needs. I can't really compare it to any other name brands because I haven't tried any others, but I will say it provides the workout I was expecting and much more. I got the Belt version, as opposed to the chain, and it is very quiet. The bike seems rock solid and doesn't move in any way when using it. The brake works perfectly, which is very important. The bike arrived much sooner than originally estimated, and comes in a single box, and is heavy. If you are going to use it on an upper floor of your house, like I do, I'd suggest opening and removing from the box in the garage; it is then much easier to carry the bike up by itself before attaching any of the components. Less messy too. It took about twice as long just getting the bike out of all the packaging as it took to assemble. The packaging seemed a pain to get everything out, but worth it since the bike arrived in perfect condition. Most of the bike comes assembled, you just need to attach the base, install the pedals, handle bars, and seat. Took about 15 minutes and it was ready to go. The seat is not the most comfortable and I will probably replace that later, but no biggie, the bike works great and seems solid. One thing it doesn't come with is a monitor for time, speed, heart rate, etc. which I knew before purchasing, and for now at least that's ok. It gives a great workout, rides very smooth, is quiet, and despite being heavy, little over 100 pounds, it is easy to move using the front wheels there for that purpose.

Great value - great workout
For the money, I think this is a really good spin bike. There are some things you might have to look at upon receipt because I get the feeling that Sunny has assembly consistency issues. But many of the complaints in other people's reviews seem to be based on the fact that they haven't owned or maintained bikes before. Many of the same principles apply to spin bikes. The belt drive model is silent. I have road pedals on mine, and the only sound I usually hear is some squeaking from one of the cleats when I need to add a drop of oil to the SPD pedal. Initially the brake pads on the bike made a rubbing noise and were starting to fold under slightly, but as others have mentioned here, removing them and scrubbing them with a wire brush and then spraying some WD-40 on the pads takes care of that problem. Now they're quiet, and there is infinite resistance that dials in smoothly and linearly. I would like some additional adjustment in the handlebars, namely the ability to adjust forward or backward, but for me it's fine. I'm 6'0". I can imagine it might be a stretch for shorter people unless they move the seat far enough forward that their knee is too far over their foot in the horizontal pedal position. My only real complaint is that the distance between the pedals is slightly wider than an actual road bike or any other spin bikes I've tried. It's not enough to be uncomfortable, but it is noticeable. I carefully measured the distance between the frame and the left and then right cranks and the point the pedal threads in, and the my left crank was 1/4" further from the frame than the right. In addition, I could tell it was not as far onto the bottom bracket shaft as the right crank. I removed the left crank with a crank removal tool (this is a standard road bike crank removal tool, people should not get angry thinking this is a proprietary requirement) and installed another crank that I had Sunny send me. I was able to get this crank onto the shaft slightly further using a good socket wrench with some leverage and some judgement and experience on how to tighten something very tight without damaging it. If you're any kind of mechanic at all, this is not rocket science. I think they could make slightly straighter cranks for this without having to worry about clearance on the belt drive side, and then it would feel just like a road bike in terms of pedal to pedal distance. I'm not sure why they don't. I've read complaints about the seat. It is slightly too wide. Bike seats are supposed to support your sit bones, not your fleshy bits. Smooshing fleshy bits for hours on end is how you get saddle sores, and it's also harder to find a comfortable position on big side seats. Nevertheless, it's not as bad as some seats I've encountered on other spin bikes that haven't had road saddles fitted. I've done multiple 2 hour sessions on this bike with the stock included seat and it's fine for me. Smaller people might find it to be way too wide. Again, for the money, this is an outstanding product. A couple minor assembly issues aside, I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to stay under $500-$700 for their spin bike. And if you've done even minor bike maintenance before, there's nothing you can't handle even if you need to make minor tweaks after yours arrives.

Good value if you don't need a subscription
I purchased this one to replace an old Schwinn spin bike that died on me, had it for 10 years. This bike is great! I've had it for a few weeks now and no issues. So far I have put in at least 400 miles. What I like the most is that there are no cheap electronics on this one, or any electronics at all. For me those are useless. I installed an Garmin speed and cadence sensor to track my speed and distance and paired it with my Garmin cycling computer and HR strap, I get all the stats I need to help me improve my cycling. Just set your computer to virtual cycling before the workout and you are set. As an added bonus, you can update your workout to Strava and track your progress. The fly wheel is heavy, which is great! If you need to have a Peloton style workout there are plenty of free spin videos in YouTube that will be just as good as a subscription service. My only recommendation would be to not use the included saddle as it is trash and spend an extra bit of cash to get yourself a good quality one. It make all the difference. Assembly was easy and instructions clear. Quality is just as good as those in my local gym. My only warning is that this bike is geared towards taller people. I am 5'11" and the fit is perfect. So far I am extremely happy with this one.

Fail all around
I've had this bike for almost 2 months now. I thought I was getting an upgrade from my old sunny health bike that I had for many years but I was mistaken. First of all, when I received the shipment the box had holes all over the place in it. Second, it took me over a week to assemble because the metal pieces they use as placeholders for the stabilizers couldn't be removed. One of the bolts holding it is was crooked and the piece was wedged in so tight we had to use a crowbar and a hammer to finally wrench it loose which damaged part of the bike. Next, the bike itself is not built well. The handlebars don't go up nearly as high as they should or back far enough. The seat doesn't go far enough forward either so based on my body size (5'7" & 140 lbs) I am sitting at an awkward angle that isn't comfortable. The handles that you must use to tighten the seat, handlebars, etc. are also not good. They made them where you have move the seat back far enough to tighten or loosen one handle so it won't hit another one. I'm not sure why they didn't use knobs or move them to different parts of the seat. Overall, I'm really disappointed in this product as I had high expectations after my previous bike. It

Very sturdy bike.
This is a very sturdy bike. And heavy! I had to drag it upstairs to my apartment which was quite a chore (Had to enlist help). But, once I got it upstairs, I love it. It's heavy because it's not made cheaply. Was very impressed by the quality of this exercise bike for the price I paid. I am so glad I bought the belt style because it is super quiet. I put the bike in front of the T.V. and can easily hear what's going on. I like how easy it was to put together. It comes mostly assembled. You just have to attach the little wheels, the pedals, handlebars, saddle, and water bottle holder, to the main frame. The most difficult part of the assembly, was adjusting the saddle to the correct height and distance. It is difficult to line up the holes in order to stick in the pin. Maybe if I used a flashlight that might have helped? But then I would have needed 3 hands.

Great Value, even better bike!!! Super happy customer!!
I am fairly active and have been looking after my health and physical condition the largest part of my life. I try to get my exercise outdoors but living in NE Ohio weather can interupt the best laid plans. I have a treadmill to get my 3 mile walks in. A rowing machine some weights and TRX straps. Good all round stuff for home. Now, at 73 yo, I am starting to have foot issues so my Dr. recommended a stationary bike for a low impact on my feet but great for cardio. So research began at the top with peloton schwinn and others. While those bikes are great I decided that the classes and everything that came with them were not for me. So I started looking bare bones at Walmart Target etc.. A young store clerk at Dicks helped me and offered what features to look for on a bike. They said to make sure its comfortable and easy to ride. It needs to be adjustable size wise and effort (resistance) wise. They also said some are quieter than others, magnetic vs friction. After getting educated about what's important on a bike I started to look on Amazon. They seem to have the best selection and prices are all over the place. I decided that what I wanted was one with magnetic resistance for quiet riding, a flywheel that weight 30+lbs, 4 way (up down forward backward) adjustable seat and handlebars, and a way of measuring how fast and how far you might have gone. There are a ton of choices that have those features. I ran across Sunny Health and Fitness. I researched the company, liked what I saw in their catalog of products and decided to go with something from them. I decided on this bike SF-B121021. It checked all my boxes and has a great price as well! It was on my doorstep in 4 days. The box was somewhat damaged by the shipping company but the product is absolutely fine. I put it together in 40 minutes no problem. They include the tools you need so don't fret that part. I took my time to set it to fit me. The seat is ok for me right now but I might try to find a better seat later, not a big deal. As for my riding experience it is incredibly smooth and quiet. I can easily turn the resistance up or down as I ride. There is no read out or marking for resistance you just remember the number of turns of the knob. The workout I get on this bike is incredible. Really different feeling after a half hour on the bike vs the treadmill. I'm loving the different muscle groups each uses and giving my feet a day or two off. This is a great purchase and I'm very happy. I'll update if something significant occurs

A really nice bike, with a problem for tall riders.
This bike is to replace an old Schwinn Model 220 Recumbent trainer which we left behind on a long move. Tried to replace it with another recumbent but, unfortunately, it seems that all home recumbent trainers (even the schwinns) have gone to a tubular steel crank that accepts only non-standard threaded pedals, e.g. won't accept SPDs. Have thus moved to upright "spinner" type trainers that still do accept standard pedals. I did a lot of research prior to buying and wanted 1 a bike that would take SPD pedals 2 a bike that would fit both my wife (5'2") and I (6'3"). 3 a closely similar trainer to the quite nice spinner bike we use at our health club (a SportsArt C510) The Sunny model B901 seemed to fit all 3 criteria. Looking at it, it is virtually identical to the SportsArt trainer with a few exceptions I'll detail below. Bear in mind the SportsArt is a circa $2000 list bike and the B901 is under $300 Quick impressions 1) the bike is solidly made as advertised 2) it is quite similar to our health club bike -- could be a knockoff. Major differences are wool pad resistance rather than magnetic, and no fore-aft adjustment on handlebars. Latter is no big deal, as the bars are huge with many hand positions. I notice the club units never had theirs adjusted, anyway 3) fits both my wife and I 4) extraordinarily easy to assemble 30 minutes including unpacking. Without the manual!!! We feel this is an excellent bike for the money paid. HOWEVER there is one major flaw I have discovered, inherent in the design apparently. The seat post as well as the handlebar post do not fit, to close tolerance, in their receiver tubes, which are 2" steel box tubes, both of identical design. The design differs from the club bike, in that the tubes are turned 45 degrees from the vertex-to-front orientation of the club bike. That is, the flat side of the box tubes face front. There is a threaded clamp on the front face to hold down the adjusting pin and compress the outer tube against the inner tube, this differs from the clamp-type closure of the club bike. The major difference is that the club bike has a steel-on-steel nesting of the two tubes that is precise to close tolerance; there is virtually no free play between tube and receiver. On the other hand, the B901 has an interior "bushing" of semi-hard plastic between the inner steel tube and the outer one. There is free play between the bushing and both the inner tube and outer receiver. The seatpost tube is, apparently, not designed to fit snugly. The amount of inner tube movement is very dependent on how much the tube is raised, and how little remains in the receiver. At full extension (for tall riders) there is approximately 1/8" to 1/16" movement (slop) on all sides of the seat tube. This may be accommodated in the fore-aft direction by squeezing the set screw knob, which compresses the tubes and bushing slightly, so movement in the pedaling direction is not noticeable. But there is no way to do this in the side-to-side direction -- no set screw. Measured from a wall, there is something like ¼" to 3/8" total side to side play at the top of the receiver when pedaling. Part of this is the extra space between the ID of bushing and OD of inner tube. Part is similar space between the OD of bushing and the outer tube. This movement is almost unnoticeable for short riders using a quite low seatpost setting (setting 2-3) but is a quite distracting problem for riders my size (setting 9). The club bike, steel-on-steel, shows no noticeable wobble. The handlebar tubes are of identical design and show similar wobble side-to-side, but lower in magnitude than the seat post because the former is much less extended. At setting 4, there is noticeable lateral wobble, but less than the extended seatpost as described above. In addition to being annoying, such repetitive movement of metal against plastic for extended times would seem likely to cause damage to the bushings. I contacted Sunny about this, and they were quite responsive. They have not however offered any solutions and said this is the first inquiry of this type they have received. They opine there is nothing defective with this unit; it is just that most riders may be smaller and don't encounter this issue. I came up with my own "FIX" of which I think McGyver would approve. Using standard 1 1/2" pine shims on one side of the box tube only, between the inner tube and the bushing. See photos. the wobble problem is fixed admirably (although perhaps the shims will wear out quickly being soft wood). My suggestions to Sunny would be that they either a) redesign the bushing to fit the tubes more snugly, with recommendation to users to use WD40 or lubricant to install, or b) quick fix, provide several fully-tapered shims out of plastic (perhaps PVC, maybe 4" long and with some type of grip outside to facilitate installation) and acknowledge that these may be necessary to fully snug the posts at extended post settings. So, the bike gets 4 stars. I really like it and it works very well -- with, in my case, the wooden shim fix. Sunny seems committed to keeping customers happy. But I would challenge the Sunny engineers to consider a "bushing" upgrade. I have looked at the Sunny compared to the SportsArt and am not convinced it would be impractical to do steel-on-steel without the bushing on the Sunny. It may of course add to the cost to have machined tubes to accomplish this. Would I buy it again? Yes. A lot of reviewers complained about screeching or noises. I am willing to bet that all those issues could be fixed with some silicone spray lubricant or WD-40 wherever the noise is coming from....likely the front wheel and brake UPDATE 3/31/2020 After a few weeks of riding, a noise started in the crank area, in time with the crank revolution. It was a "tick...tick..." kind of noise. I reported it to Customer service and they opened a ticket, and helped me diagnose the problem as potentially one of the crank arms working loose. I had a crank tool and pulled off the right crank, and sure enough there were small but noticeable divots on the inside surface of the arm that rides on the square spindle of the crank. Also, the hub of the arm was misshapen, like someone had used a defective die or something for the casting. Sent them photos and they immediately fedexed out a new crank arm that did not have this problem, and it snugged up/made no further noise. It is probably true, as some reviewers mention, that some of the components are not top quality. But that is why this costs $200 not $1500. The Sunny service was quite good, within the warranty period. I like the bike and hope it holds up.
