Awesome & Amazing
So, after hearing a lot about soap nuts on a person's blog, I decided to do my own research... decided that I loved them, and scoured around for the best price. I wanted to buy a fair amount of these babies, but not TOO much, because if I didn't like them, or they didn't work... what was I going to do?! I searched on independent websites, Ebay, and then Amazon... Thank you, Amazon. And thank you NaturOli Soap Nuts I found this size of soap nuts to be exactly what I needed. I also ordered some essential oil (lavender) from a seller off of Ebay, because I kept reading a lot about it being nice to add some to the cloth bag along with the soap nuts. So when the shipment arrived, that's what I did! I put about 4 soap nuts in the little bag, put some lavender oil on the inside, closed the bag, tossed it in the wash BEFORE adding the clothes... and washed on a cold cycle. After the wash was done, I moved them to the dryer, along with the bag, to dry the soap nuts. The clothes came out AMAZING. They smelled great, were clean, and very soft. I wasn't expecting the softness! I will be buying these again, for sure, once mine run out... especially with how affordable and long-lasting they are compared to detergent! Plus, there's the added bonus of being able to make household cleaners and liquid soap out of them... I love these so much. Now, if only the rest of my family and friends would come on board and use these... :)

Never Going Back!
I have chemical sensitivities, but I put off trying soap nuts for the longest time - there was always some excuse. I didn't have the money to invest, or I had to use the laundromat, and they might accuse me of trying to ruin their machines, or they couldn't possibly clean MY clothes... Turns out, all those excuses were totally unfounded. They're not expensive, they're actually good for washing machines, and they clean my clothes astoundingly well! These things are amazing. I've been using them for about a month now, and I can't imagine switching back to regular detergent. Not only are my clothes just as clean as they ever were (if not maybe even cleaner) - but my skin is the clearest it's been since I was a kid, and I can breathe so much more easily without all the perfumes from the detergents! The soap nuts are extremely easy to use - just put a few (read the directions for specifics) into the little pouch that's provided, and toss them in your washing machine as it's filling with water. It's recommended that you let them soak a bit, but I've found that it's not really needed if you use warm water and toss the bag in before you start loading up the clothes. That's it - no measuring or hauling big jugs or boxes of detergent around. And when the load is done in the washing machine, you can either toss the bag in the dryer with the clothes, hang it up to dry, or leave it in the washing machine if you're doing another load right away. Plus, these things last forever - I'm about a month in, and still haven't had to switch to a new batch of nuts. Of course, I only do laundry 1-2 times a week, but I would have gone through a LOT more money's worth of detergent by now! I'll definitely be buying again - though, next time, I'm getting a MUCH larger bag!

Worked better than I hoped, and a great price.
I was first interested in these because I have sensitive skin. I was hopeful they would work well for me in that regard, but I was worried they wouldn't do much for cleaning. They were inexpensive enough, though, that I was willing to try them. And, I was pleasantly surprised! They remove dirt and sweat well from clothes while being gentle on them. My towels come clean well, too. I use them both for warm and cold wash cycles. When I use cold, though, I will soak them in a coffee mug filled with hot water until a little bit of white film shows up on top (about five minutes--usually the time it takes for me to gather the clothes for the load and put them in the washer). Also surprising was how long they lasted. Doing 3-5 medium loads a week, this order lasted about 8 weeks for me! Now that I am doing 5-7 medium to large sized loads, each bag of 5 lasts a laundry day plus part of the next one. One important tip, though, is to remember to pre-treat food stains. The lack of harsh chemicals here require that you soak and soap any stains right away. I've always had troubles removing food stains, though, unless I treated with a "pen." I ordered more! (in larger quantity, of course, and I really like the 18X sample they sent!) And my mom is trying out some from my new order. Maybe she will become a new customer, too!

Pros and cons of NaturOli Organic Soap Nuts/Berries
Pros: Organic product; ecological alternative; good for environment; seems to clean clothes Cons: Incredibly expensive if you consider how it fits into daily machine laundry use (see explanation below) Just to be clear, I think these are a super idea and would like to rate them a 5--I've been looking for something similar for a long time. And the fact that they're organically grown is an even bigger plus to me. But, for me, there's a major problem with using them in an automatic washing machine: to get anywhere near reasonable use out of them, one would have to monitor ones wash and then stop the machine when the wash cycle is done to remove them. Otherwise, the soap nuts are in the machine during the rinse cycle, which uses them up twice as fast. Plus, the clothes aren't really rinsed of the soap nut product at that point, are they? So if you have a super washer that allows you to program it and stop it after the wash cycle, and you have the time/energy to monitor every load, these might work for you. Otherwise, you might want to try one of their other products, which might circumvent this issue. Or even make your own liquid from the soap nuts, which I've seen mentioned somewhere. NaturOli does include a lot of literature, which might contain this info.

NaturOli Soap Nuts
I already use Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds to replace my commercial brand petroleum-base toxic laundry detergent and hand dish soap. However, I like to try different non-toxic cleaner, and I find Soap Nuts works well for washing regular laundry, it is very mild for laundry and the cloth turn out to be clean and soft. The only problem I have is when I tried to pre-soak the bloody stain, it didn't work at all, maybe there's a way to get ride of it with Soap Nuts, but I just don't know how. When my laundry is done washing with Soap Nuts, I end up using Sal Suds to get ride of the blood stain, before I put the cloth in the dryer. Overall, I would recommend this soap nuts to other people, it is another non-toxic way to wash your laundry.

GONE NUTTY FOR SOAPNUTS
Awesome product! My husband is very picky about what his clothes get washed in, that it has no smell and even ones that claim FREE AND CLEAR NO DYES OR PERFUMES, he can smell and make him itch expeciallly in the summer months. The first use of the soap nuts, I let him smell the laundry before it went into the dryer and it had a slightly vinegar smell (it said it would) and he was ok with it. After they came out of the dryer, all I can say is wow! They smelled like they had been dried on a clothesline and so soft we both were in disbelief! No smell, no itching! The second time I used it, I noticed ink pen marks on his shirt pocket and they were gone when they came out! I use them on my bed sheets now too! In the package I got there were 12 whole nuts and 4 half shells. What I used and am still using is 3 whole nuts and the 4 half pieces. I just lay them on a paper towel to dry and put them back into the bag for the next wash. I guess you could say we are NUTS for SOAPNUTS! Highly recommended!!!!!! Photo is after using them 6 times 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

NaturOli Soap Nuts
I tried these soap nuts for the first time last month and have been very impressed with them! I love the fact that not only is it good for our planet but it gets my washing beautifully clean and is very cost-effective when compared with other detergents. It's chemical free which is definately a must for washing children's clothes. No fragrance but i hang my clothes on the line anyhow (still got my British instincts lol!). So i enjoy fresh, clean smelling laundry it's wonderful! ps This company also sells nut soap for washing your pets - i was extremely impressed with how soft my long-haired dachsund's coat was and he smelled so clean! No irritants for his skin - we both love it! Very happy with this product!
