Water Butt Tap - Hozelock Fitting Nozzle Pack of 4

Bought this hoping I could fit it to a water butt and connect a hose via a Hozelock connector. Yes the Hozelock fitting clips on and stays there, but the connection is not that good, it leaks, not sure if it is because the O ring is not fitting properly or that the tap fitting is a few thou small, it definitly isn't my Hozelock connector. Better off buying a more expensive tap that will take the proper Hozelock attachment.A bit disappointed as I spent a while emptying the water butt and washing it out before getting inside to fasten the tap. Yes it's an old water butt that requires the tap to be secured with an internal nut! Now got to do it all again when I decide on the tap I want.

Admittedly cheap but you get what you pay for. These taps leaked after installation and needed sealant putting around the joint to seal.The flow through the tap is far slower than on the similar taps that came with my other water butts, this is with the same head of water in both butts. I can only suspect the cross-sectional area of the tap is lower and the flow is restricted. This means it takes ages to fill a bucket from the new water butts.The hozelock type connector leaked until I wrapped it with loads of ptfe tape.In other words in every single function of the tap it is a massive disappointment. Pay a few quid more and get a better tap from somewhere else.

Installed this onto my water butt but when I connect a Hozelock hose to this it leaked so is pretty useless. Tried what some other reviewers suggested which was to replace the black washer band with an original Hozelock one which I had from a Hozelock accessory pack. That reduced the leak but nonetheless it still leaked. Gave up after that and bought this instead which didn't leak (but disadvantage is that the flow rate of this one is very slow):  Bosmere H890 Water Butt Tap Washers and Nut

Very easy to use and fit, the problem is that although very similar to hozelock this doesn’t have a good fit, a hozelock will attach but is a loose fitting and consequently leaks at the connection, I noticed that other reviewers have said the same thing, is it a copyright issue?

Arrived very quickly and was easy to fit. The tap has been on my water butt for over 2 months and I've not had any difficulty with it. Good Buy.

Good quality taps at a very reasonable price arrived quickly and well packed excellent all round service.

Seems fine. We've only tried it with the water butt fairly empty as it needed to be emptyish to fit the adaptor, so the low water pressure meant the water came out fairly slowly but it didn't drip when the hose was attached.

Bought this to replace a tap which had broken. Didn't even have to empty the butt. Lost a bit of water while unscrewing the old one and screwing this one in, but all it took was seconds to fix.
