This lockout is mandatory for anyone with a hydraulic brake actuator. Even if you have electronic lockout, I would purchase this. I have electronic (solenoid) lockout, but if you lockout with any actuation, you have just locked "out" in "brake position" - which is worthless.This is a great device! I use a thin stainless cable and crimp (or you can use paracord, etc) and tether it to the safety chain. I use an inexpensive magnet to hold it in place. When you are finished, just move the magnet away and the lockout falls out of the actuator but is connected by the tether - simple and effective.

Finally the bracket I needed for my locking trailer brakes on my Supra Launch boat trailer. Arrived quickly, and works great! I wish there was something to make this stay on better though- I use a small black bungee cord to hold in place when it's only me (no one around to help back up the boat). You have to have something to tie this bracket in temporarily or it will fall out when you pull forward.

Wanted to thank the review where the magnet was suggested. That's what I used with a wire lanyard attached to the trailer. I like this better than the lockout cap due to the prongs bending inside of the cap when there is too much force backing up the trailer. This little inexpensive side piece is the fix.

Has worked well on our boat trailer. Previously we were using nickels and taping them into the gap so that we could get our boat into the driveway. This works much better and easier than having nickels and tape on hand all the time.
