It’s a Duck call, what more can I say, good quality from the Acme brand.

Crows are fascinating, intelligent and highly inquisitive animals, so obviously my children wanted to befriend them..! What better way than being able to 'talk' to these amazing birds..? This decoy caller works a treat and all the user should do is follow guidance from a resident expert on Youtube, as we did.. the learning was half the fun. Hours and hours of fun, getting answers back.! Became clear that this murder of crows were actually asking questions... Amazing what we can learn.! The call/decoy is a perfect pitch, very well made, pretty maintenance free.! Top quality item. So, if you've inquisitive kids or just plenty of spare time, these are just the ticket. Enjoy.!

Takes some practice, I watched some You Tube videos to lean how to use this as you can't just blow! I didn't practise enough to get good, mainly relied on my recording of a real crow to attract the crows into my garden. But it's clear you can get a good imitation crow sound if you practice enough and blow correctly.

This is the Acme 'City' a smaller version of the Acme 'The Metropolitan' Police whistle. Both are made by the J. Hudson co. in Birmingham and are nice and loud. This City was issued to Prison staff and is shorter and narrower than the Metropolitan. Good to have if your mobile battery dies or you are in a dead coverage zone.

This is awesome, I didn't think it was going to work, however I watched a couple of YouTube videos and with some practice was able to create both crow and jackdaw sounds that fooled them enough to come for a closer look even from a reasonable distance.

Thought I should write a genuine review of this product as all the previous ones are either 5 stars but clearly made up or genuine but give one star. I bought this to help with decoying crows and bring them in closer. It arrived quickly and looked OK. If you then follow the instructions on the packaging you will certainly sound like a dying duck with asthma and not attract many corvids. Hence one star reviews. However if you go on YouTube and watch the two-part video about how to use this PROPERLY, then it works a treat. Angle it in your mouth (I rest the top part on my top teeth) and growl into it. I was out for about an hour and a half today and kept calling, bringing crows (not rooks) the whole time. I didn't even get to drink my flask of coffee. Great product, rubbish instructions, practice, bingo!

Would not recommend. Not even close to what a crow even sounds like would give it 0 stars

This whistle has brilliant sound, I love it creating Duck sounds. However be aware it is fragile and the internal mechanism gets broken very easily, I had 3 of those already over the past 6 years. I have many other Acme bird whistles, and they all work great, it must be something with the specific design of the duck whistle that makes it prone to getting broken. Still worth the buy if you keep is physically safe at all times as it will not tolerate any kind of abuse.

I got this whistle because it sounded different and realistic bird call. I didn't expect that the sparrows in the backyard would come down and landed close by and watch me play with the whistle. I just hope that the neighbors won't get irritated by me blowing this thing all the time. The instructions were horrible and way off. It took a long time to get this to sound nice. Here's what worked for me. I used a plastic pipet to fill the water. Instead of filling with only 1/4, I'd fill it at least 1/3 with water. When I cover up the whistle hole and blow in it and can hear the bubbles, I know that I have enough water. Instead of leaving the rubber grommet and screw off, I'd put it on but loosely; this gave it louder and more consistent calls. It tends to have a consistent nice effect if I tilt it and hold it at about 45 degrees instead of upright. This tends to get it to create the Nightingale call instead of just a whistle. I noticed that I didn't have to blow as hard when holding at 45 degrees. Hope this helps. BTW...make sure to wash any ACME whistle mouthpiece before use because they manually test every whistle before shipping. Check out the YouTube video about this.

Die Pfeife ist kleiner, als ich es erwartete. Sie gibt einen sehr hohen Pfeiffton von sich, den ich eigentlich gerne tiefer hätte aber nun komme ich damit auch klar.

Amazing quality and amazing sound. Exactly what we were looking for.
