Great piece of kit, Quiet and very economical. Have this on my boat and its just the job for kettle, microwave and battery charger. 3ltr fuel tank lasted well over 8 hours. Had it for 12 months and stored it as directed in manual for about 6 months, had an issue starting and running so got in touch with the AIvolt service department. What can i say? Service 2nd to none, good communication and then sent me a new carburettor under warranty. I would recommend getting an AIVolt generator if your looking for a good one.

Brilliant piece of kit. Low noise and does what it says. Arrived on time and doesn't take up much space. Versatile for camping or using in a workshop/garage. My husband was very pleased with this item.

Generator is not what I would call quiet. But it’s not horrendously noisy either think petrol mower. Tried it boiling a kettle and handles power without a blink, throttles up on its own and away it goes. Really easy to set up. And is light enough to move around and store for that (imo) inevitable power cut or camping trip in the wilderness. Some issues getting one, seems like a few reviews I’ve read, these go missing in transit? Thanks to the power of Amazon, who are amazing, a replacement came. No extra cost. In summary: great piece of kit and at the sale price great value.

I read the manual and quick start guide. Not much to report. Was surprised to find a screw in the box, turned out to be from the handle. Soon put back and all the rest checked. Filling with oil was easy using the screw in funnel. Getting it to the right level was tedious, as you need to unscrew the funnel to check. Need to be careful, the funnel is soft plastic and it would be easy to wreck the threads. Filled it with petrol up to the red Ievel indicator on the fuel neck (nice touch, that). Turned the control knob to start, pulled. Started second pull. Good omen. Plugged into my camper. The Victron inverter/charger synched immediately. A very good sign as these are notoriously fussy about the quality of the power coming in. It's not the quietest, the Honda suitcase models beat it hands down. But it's acceptable. Run in at max 50% load for the first 5 hours. For the questions not answered in the listing. Oil is 10W30. 0.35l. Change after 5 hours, then again at 25 hours or 1 month. After that every 100 hours/6 months. There are detailed instructions about preparing it for extended periods of no use. Either that or run it for 30 minutes every month. Overall, good start. Let's see how long it lasts. Update. It's now done about 30 hours. No drop in oil level between first and second oil changes. No sign of metal at second change, either. Continues to start first pull. Fuel consumption between half and one l/hr at about half load.

Great piece of kit. Easily transportable. Ideally when off grid with a caravan or campervan. Decent power output.
