This product arrived sealed and packed very well. It works great. I love that I can use it in most any dish that I cook and bake to enhance the flavor. The amount is more than enough. A little MSG goes a long way. Also great work getting the sodium content just right.

I really hate that MSG gets such a bad rep because it is a perfectly healthy and delicious thing to put into food. It is not poison. This particular MSG is a very good price, especially if you do not live near an Asian market, and a little goes a long way. As I give this review, I have a pizza in the oven, and along with the tomato sauce and cheese and pepperoni and crushed red pepper is also a good amount of MSG, which I cannot tell you how amazingly delicious it makes this pizza. This is not just for Chinese food, this is for everything. Also, put some into your popcorn along with your other seasonings. I think for anything savory this works beautifully.

I realize that many people have an issue with MSG. From what I have read, there was one flawed study many years ago. So I decided to try this and was very pleased with the outcome. I cook at home 7 days a week, and use this product multiple times a week. From soups and stews, to rice and vegetables, it lends a very nice hearty flavor. Of course you can overdo it, so if you are new to this, start small. As a guideline, I will usually add 1 teaspoon to a 3 quart pot of soup. I have been using this product for 3 years, and none of us has experienced any negative effect. Put aside your assumptions and give it a try.

This is a review of this particular brand of MSG. I'm not going to try and sell you on the idea of cooking with MSG in general. I think it's totally a quality product and because it didn't come in a plastic container it's a little cheaper than some of the other brands. I can't tell any difference between this and other brands I have used, which to me, must mean it's good for the types of cooking I do.

It's msg, what can you say? Good size for the price. I pour off some into a spice jar with a shaker top for every day use and keep the rest stores in a cupboard. I feel like this bag will last me forever.
