Backward
I needed this to eliminate the module that I had to have plugged in for my Uconnect. The only problem was that the cord comes out of the plug toward the driver instead of under the dash so I still have a loop of wire hanging down in order to tuck the module up under the dash. Still better than the 2 in of module that was sticking out of the OBD plug

A definate need if you have an add on chip
I bought this because I have an add on performance chip. This works great except I wish it were molded with the wires going the opposite direction. It's a little difficult routing the wires to keep them hidden when the OBD II plug is near the sidewall of the vehicle.

Works with issues though
The good;I'm able to run a Scan Gauge as well as data log on the lap top at the same time with this cable, which is why I bought it in the first place. I've had no issues running both at the same time.The flat cables are easy to run, nicer than the fat round cables that are not easy to bend around under the dash. The offset male plug is good too, there is no cable looped down under the dash to get n the way, it's nice & neat this way.The bad;It seems as if the male plug doesn't fit the car OBDII port quite perfectly. Occasionally I'll have to reseat the plug in the port to make connections. While it seems that the plug is seated correctly it just doesn't always "work" & the plug has to be pulled & reinserted to make connections.Other than that, I have no complaints. Being able to data log on my lap top, while I keep an eye on engine functions with the Scan Gauge is why I bought this cable and it does the job for me...now if I can figure out the occasional connection glitch it'll be perfect.

Works for me
Works like it should. Thinkware was selling there ODB 2 to power for 44$ crazy. This splitter along with the ODB to female cigarette lighter port to connect my thinkware dash cam works great the spear port is open for anything else. All xame to great price for 23$.
