Q: Help! loaded stapler but no staples come out. using 53/4. loaded on rod at bottom pushed in but nothing? no spring visable, is it faulty? advice?

This also happened to me until I realised that you have to turn the stapler upside down so that the handle is pointing towards the floor. Depress the black sliding arm and pull out as far as it will go and insert staples with the solid edge against the metal bar. Press and push the arm back in. Turn over and commence stapling!

Q: do we need to buy staple pins separately?

Yes, it uses Rapid No 53 finewire staples 4-10 mm

Q: is the spring on this easy to use as i have just bought a Draper and I can hardly press it together totally unusable.

I feel it is. My mother in law who's a fit 60yr old was the one who put me onto this brand. She doesn't struggle. I'm very impressed with the power. Drives staple into 4x2 with little pressure required from me.

Q: Will this go through furniture material

I recovered four chair seats with a mid weight cotton and it worked .
