Great Vise....But!
I had a few questions about the TSL-100's features and dimensions before purchasing it. I scoured every corner of the web and I couldn't locate the information I needed. I called KaKa's 800 number as well as their local phone number in an attempt to have my questions answered. I called each number multiple times and received their voicemail on each occasion. I eventually left a message telling them that I had a few questions and requested a call back. To this very day I never received a telephone reply. So, I took the next step by chiseling out an email and firing it off to the company. Again, I never received a reply. Despite my frustration with KaKa ghosting me, I decided to purchase the TSL-100 on Amazon anyway. It was drop shipped directly from the company and it arrived in three days. Another frustration I encountered was having to be home for a delivery signature confirmation. I inspected the vise and, sure as heck, it wasn't going to fit my needs and I returned it. I wasted over a week dealing with this fiasco and it could've easily been avoided if they simply replied to my questions. As a result, KaKa is saddled with the shipping costs and I'm back to square-one trying to find a replacement. To be fair, the vise is constructed with extreme quality and its fit and finish is superb. So much so, I was hesitant to return it. However, you should be mindful there's a good chance you won't receive a reply from KaKa if you have a warranty issue or need replacement parts.

Fantastic Vice - Overbuilt, to last forever. Get KAKA's matching brake for it, too.
I've been using this vice for a couple of months and couldn't be happier. This is a LARGE footprint vice but it's fairly low profile. The screw mechanism is MASSIVE and slides incredibly smoothly without binding up, as long as you keep it clean and lubricated. I have drilled a lot of things using it. (metals and wood) I've also bent some 1/4" aluminum bars at 6 inches wide using this vice, and that was without having the 8" add-on brake KAKA makes for this vice. (Just ordered the brake for mine today.) A couple warnings, though. This beast feels like it weighs about 50,000 lbs., when you are trying to lift it. *wink* But seriously, this thing weighs a lot!. (perhaps 60-80 lbs?) That weight means you need a beefy drill press platform to support it. Also, be careful sliding it around on the drill press platform because it will tip your drill press over pretty easily if the drill press isn't bolted to the floor. You really don't want this thing (or your drill press) falling on your leg. Other details to know are: It has crazy large slots for giant bolts to mount it in place, once you get it onto the platform. If you are mounting it on a milling machine, you will need a really LARGE flat area to mount it. The thing is nearly 2ft long and almost that wide. The only minor annoyance I've had is that the pin holding the handle on the large screw mechanism slides out sometimes. There is no space around the pin where light can get through. It's just machined so precisely smooth that it slides out after I sprayed lubricant all over the vice to protect it from rust. I plan to put a bit of blue Loctite on it keep it in place. Anyway, if you want something durable and strong with precise, smooth motion, this is your vice. You'll be able to pass this vice down for generations, most likely. This is easily the best vice I've ever owned. I have three other brands sitting unused, now. I'm addicted to the high-quality feel of this thing. Highly recommended.

Very nice vise - but lots of burr and sharp edges for vise this nice.
This is heavy and well thought and executed vise - clearly not the $20 variety. Interesting that it is not mention that it has a quick release - very nice feature. what was surprising was the amount of metal pieces, burr and shreds that were all over the vise - on the edges as well as in the screws hole. nothing that one can't clean with a file (and i used a flat screw driver too) and 30 min of light work - still i was not expecting it from this quality level of a vise. Although this vise in not not in the stratospheric pricing league, it is not inexpensive and it is very strange for a proud manufacturer to leave the finish as it was. I bought an inexpensive Forward vise (1/4 the cost) and didn't expect much - and it also had sharp, unfinished edges with burr. Maybe this is the norm for any quality level of vises? A bit of a shame - since this one is very nicely made vise.

Really nice vise
What a relief to finally order a tool from here that actually works at the level it was intended to work at. The packaging was professionally done with fitted styrofoam and not dripping with used motor oil but preservative grease - only on areas not painted. The paint is a good thick coat (prob powder coated). The vise jaws were machined to very close tolerances with no perceived play and the quick lock mechanism works beautifully. The screw, btw, is an actual acme screw which isn't without some backlash but is an acceptable amount.Unlike other makers of "Chineseium" tools, Kaka seems to be one of the few remaining manuf that haven't compromised the quality of their product in order to squeeze a few more pennies as profit while passing them off as equivalent or acceptable quality. I really hope Kaka continues using their current supply chain bc they've garnered a new loyal customer!

Great Quality / reasonable price
It is hard to find a high quality drill press vise at a reasonable price. I have purchased one from lowes and grizzly and i have never been happy with the quality. The machining on those vises have been sloppy and the sliding jaws have had lots play. This Kaka vise Has neither. It is the best drill press vise I have ever used. The machining quality is great, the jaws are parallel with no unwanted movement, and the casting is very smooth. It is about double the cost of cheaper drill press vises but if you want to do more precision work this fits the bill.

Good low profile Vice for CNC machines.
I have a small to medium sized CNC machine and needed a good vise that isn't very tall. This vise is pretty good. It's very sturdy and appears to be fairly accurate for the price. I'm happy with my purchase.

The ultimate drill press vise
Extra heavy duty. Slots are cut to fit Imperial standard size so 1/2" studs and bolts WILL fit, not like others that you have to spend time grinding out. Fitment is very good as well as the relation of bottom flatness to jaw alignment. Extra heavy,

Good vise for the money.
I returned this vise, only because it was too big, however for the price point and size vs. quality, it's good value. The casting is as ratty as any typical Asian vise but it's pretty well machined wherever it matters, including the tops of the mounting slots. Relatively little slop for this style of vise, some lift but you expect that. If my drill press table was bigger, I'da kept it.
