Crystal Clear Convenience: Tiny Vials, Big Potential
As a hobbyist scientist and occasional DIY enthusiast, I was intrigued by these 10ml sterile glass vials. 🧪 The set of 5 offers great value, and I was impressed by the quality of the borosilicate glass. It's reassuringly thick and sturdy, giving me confidence in its durability. The vials' resistance to thermal shock is a significant plus. I've used them for various temperature-sensitive projects without any issues. The chemical resistance is also noteworthy, making them versatile for different experiments. 🔬I appreciate the clear glass, which allows for easy visibility of the contents. The non-latex chlorobutyl rubber stoppers provide a reliable seal, and the aluminum plastic cover adds an extra layer of protection. However, the small size can be both a pro and a con. While perfect for precise measurements and storing small samples, it might be limiting for larger projects. 📏 I sometimes find myself wishing for a larger capacity option. One minor gripe is that the vials can be a bit tricky to label due to their smooth surface and small size. A slightly textured area for labeling would have been a nice touch.Overall, these vials have proven to be versatile little workhorses in my home lab. From mushroom cultures to art projects, they've handled it all with aplomb. 🍄🎨 Just be prepared for their petite size and have a steady hand when working with them!

Not sterile
They advertise these as sterile vials, but nowhere in the description does it say they are sterilised. Too risky to use them.

Not actually sterile. Tops not removable.
These bottles are listed as sterlie, but don't appear to be in sterlile packaging, and the packaging makes no mention of it, so be aware! They're fine for use as props or cosplay, etc. but that is all really. The tops cannot be removed though! They can only be filled by either ripping the top off permenantly, or using a syringe. Not really recommended.

Nice little bottles!
The media could not be loaded. These are nice little syringe bottles. They have a secure aluminium lid which houses a rubber stopper inside. If you have a wee battle getting the aluminium off, the small stopper isn't the most secure on its own. This would make them possibly unsuitable for some uses, like camping, unless you got a more secure stopper to replace the original ones. They are sterile though, but note all 5 bottles are in the same sterile packet, not individually wrapped.

Quality Phials but difficult to fill or repurpose.
Jacked Supplements — 10ml Sterile Glass Clear Vials 5 pack, £10.When the phials arrived due to the top being sealed it was clear that the only way to get contents into, and out of, the bottle would be via a hypodermic needle! So repurposing them was a modest challenge.I have been on the lookout for glass phials for some time. There are plenty of small plastic bottles I can buy, but as I want to store olive oil in them for ecclesiastical purposes - plastic bottles don’t quite cut it, and not just for aesthetic reasons, in addition it is nice to get away from the use of plastic. In order to make the bottles serviceable, I removed the seal by using a small screwdriver. The plastic aluminium seal easily tears, and then using small pliers you can strip away the seal. Once the seal is gone I found that the stopper is not a tight fit and can easily dislodged. However, as these phials are the right size and shape for which I have been keeping an eye out, sourcing some inexpensive small corks is my next task!At £2 per phial it is a good purchase so long as you realise the limitations of use.Post Script. From Amazon I manage to purchase some inexpensive rubber bungs/corks which are tapered from 11mm to 15mm, with the 13mm opening right in the middle, so the phials are now fully serviceable!
