Pleased
Happy with this thermostat ive had it running for about 2 weeks now or so and its working very well placing probe under a ceramic tile, if you do so placing probe under a bask zone, you will have to play with it an figure what to set the thermostat at to get the correct basking temps on surface of say a ceramic tile or stone. but works awesome connected with a par38 arcadia halogen bulb

Perfect for reptile lighting!
Great thermostat for re-creating a more natural heat and light gradient to more closely mimic the natural rise and fall of daylight and warmth over a 12 hour cycle. I use it for radiant heat panels in my green tree python enclosures.I do wish the thermostat had a clock setting that was actually based on time of day, instead of set lengths of hours.Highly recommend!I have had only good experiences with this company and their products! Will upload photos soon

It works!
very useful product. it is actually a dimming thermostat, and not an on/off one like most reptile thermostats. it keeps my mind at ease to know my baby will never get overheated while i’m away. the thermostat is sometimes off by five degrees at most; but it’s not that big of a deal. I will say- the timer isn’t useful in terms of a day/night cycle. however, i just attached the thermostat to a smart plug to get a functional timer.

Doesn't work
I'm not sure why this has any positive reviews, unless I just got a dud. It doesn't regulate the temperature at all. Using another brand of dimming thermostat, I'm able to keep it right at about 90 F under the lamp but with this one it fluctuates from 70-85, never even getting up to the temperature I want (regardless of how high I set the thermostat). It's completely useless. Better to spend a few dollars more to start than to buy this and end up buying a better one later, anyway.

Perfect for my ball python
I live in an already very hot and dry area, so controlling the temp for my BP was a bit of a struggle until I got this. The auto shut off is also great, as I work 12 hour shifts, so I know the basking I use it for is off when I need and my roommate simply turns on the ceramic for me. I’m going to purchase another for the ceramic so it will auto at 8 and I can control night temps better. Fantastic product.

Accurate
Works well for my snake. The thermometer is accurate and the cord is a good length. Also comes with a suction cup to stick it on the side of your terrarium

Timer is Useless; Thermostat is Good.
Jenna Orthmann's 3-star review was spot on.While this is a great, cheap thermostat with fairly accurate air temp readings, the problem is that it falsely advertises an implied automated timer. This "timer" feature is a 1-time countdown timer, more in line with a slow-cooker or dehumidifier than a terrarium thermostat. Set the time for 12 hours, for example, and it will properly shut off after 12 hours as expected, but it will not restart after another 12. In fact, I needed to unplug it and plug it back in so that it could restart. The temperature setting was saved, thankfully. You may as well buy a BN-Link or HBN automated timer to go with this and only use it for the thermostat. As for the thermostat readings, I didn't thoroughly test the PID, but I'm not sure it will actually reduce net energy costs. There are some others out there that have tighter temperature margins, but this will do, a bit better than the toggle thermostats. I will personally be returning mine because it doesn't suit my use case, but don't let that discourage you from getting this if you want it on all the time or only for a few hours.

Great temperature regulation!
I have this product running a graphite heating mat in an incubation chamber. I have more than one chamber so was able to test using other auto regulation systems and this one is actually more consistent than the more expensive one I already own. Hands down the right choice!
