Great color theory info
I borrowed this book from a freind to learn more about color theory and it was so good to start reading that I decided I wanted this book in my own library.

Good Book for the color challenged.
This book is simple and easy to understand. The authors wrote it in such a way that even the most color challenged quilter can figure out how to use a color wheel in determining what colors work well together. Lots of photo combinations of quilt patterns using different color harmonies so you have something to compare to. By explaining the color combinations as harmonies they take confusion out of all the art of color technical talk, even though they do use that to as a limited explination. If you're like me and find it difficult to understand how to pick out colors that look good together this is a tool for learning the concept without being in over your head.

Color Magic for Quilters
Although this is an older book and the fabrics used reflect that it's still my go to book for color. It's easy to understand and has color photos of the possible color ways that can be combined. Well written, well illustrated and invaluable. Although today's more modern fabrics add a new level to working with color I still highly recommend this book. Especially if you are new to quilting.

Great explaination of the Color Harmonies
When creating a Color Theory class for a local quilt shop, I was looking for reference books to recommend. This one easily made the list. The comprehensive explaination of the many color harmonies that the arthor goes into details about is so helpful as a reference tool. In addition, following a brief discussion on any give harmony, the arthor adds visuals of sample fabric combinations in full color for reference. The book is well laid out and easy to follow. A great resource.

Four Stars
Well organized and easy to use, but I wonder why the ignored the variations on the color brown.

Great explanation of color theory
This is a great addition to any new or old quilter's library. Not only does it have the color wheel that is an easy reference, it also has broad examples of fabric that coordinate, accent, and compliment. The color wheel teaches the relation of solid colors to eachother. Rarely do we use a fabric that is one solid color. This book takes it one step further and teaches your mind to see the actual color of the fabric beyond the print/pattern/shade/tint/tone so that you can choose appropriate coordinating fabric for your desired affect.

Colour Magic
Second hand but in brilliant condition. Purchased for our local quilt club as there is only one copy in the greater Auckland library collection. I hope the members will enjoy the clear text and excellent diagrams.
