Good stuff
This is the best packet egg fried rice that I've found. Your taste may vary, but this seems closest to the chippy, and best with Amoy

Not bad!!!!! Good grief!!!
LOL I have just perused a lot of the reviewers (never thought to before now! Just wondered what others thought of this rice). We've been getting this for years. I have a very picky husband who will NOT eat onions. Many of the rice(s) out there have onions or dehydrated in them. These DO but they're not noticeable. The reason why I am laughing a bit is because - well?? if you want REAL egg fried rice - DONT buy this??? it's THAT simple?? MAKE IT or go to a restaurant! *simple!* OTherwise NO this is NOT 'real egg fried rice' ('egg is minimal'?? well um yeahhh???) There IS egg in it! But this IS a 'processed' easy/ready made practically food - in a pouch. Heat it up 2 minutes on high, dump into bowl - add whatever you want to it.I've served this as a side - but it's primarily my husband's choice on 'lighter nights' (he'll have a few pieces of toast to go with. THAT IS ALL he will have (ok and some biscuits maybe later). He adds butter and salt - and BBQ on the side - it's one of his fav's. If I have it - I put a very tiny bit of butter in - but then just add soy sauce to it.We've used this however when the kids were still with us - to fold in shredded chicken (add a splattering of hoisin/spring onion sauce) with some broccoli - and voila.. dinner!!!!! (No I don't cook like that all the time). Or various other meats/chicken - with some peas and/or corn - and it makes for a nice 'one pot meal'.I usually put the open pouch in a bowl - if I need to I trim the top down about an inch shaking down the rice a bit - then cook in the microwave. When it comes out - it IS Steaming hot so be careful (Some reviewer somewhere said they got a steam burn - oh come on you have got to be kidding me, it's just come out of the microwave??) I can let it sit for a while! if I need toooooooo! Or serve it up immediately and prep it for whomever and their preference(s) etc.I DONT eat this mind you - other than if for a side. I DO think there is much better out there! BUT This is a 'buy a packet, heat and serve' -- what ----- people expect? is a restaurant variant. This AINT it. I can tell you after years of trial and error with these packets and other varieties/types - THIS one is by far the best in quality and price. (Again, I can't say it enough - if you want REAL egg fried rice - 1) use this as a base - add your own egg (2) MAKE IT from scratch thousands of recipes online! regular and healthier versions orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! (3) GO OUT TO DINNER :) (calm smile)The reason I give this 4 stars is because of the nutritional values andddddd that it is a 'packaged food' - not the food's fault really tis uncle ben's for ever making it! lol But I tend to go for other things on our lighter nights - this is NOT exactly the healthiest of options (though I've seen FAR worse in the tinned and packet asiles)ITS DECENT - it's do-able and you can play with it (not literally mind you - though I Suppose you could!) you can ADD things to it......... shakes head... (or read items 1-3 again for 'suggestions')JUST bear in mind the PORTION size on this is HALF The packet - NOT The whole packet. SO DOUBLE the nutritional values and you'll see why my eyes bugged out a bit (But...hey - I can't argue - my husband loves it - and it's HARD To find things that he likes LOL) (At least it's not fried in reused oil with bacon, chunks of fried chicken with skins on and heavy sauce over it.. see I know how to 'junk it up'!! -> that actually sounds quite good! but not going to do it!)-> I have lost a lot of weight - and it's not been eating this stuff. I JUST think it's decent - and had to have a say - people - go out - or make it yourself - or add something to it - otherwise REALISE it's a PACKAGED food. SIMPLY PUT. (You're nottttttttt going to get 'restaurant style' in these packets TRUST ME). ootches off soapbox.

Quick and easy to cook and serve
Quick and easy to cook and serve, my son likes this egg fried rice to go with his sweet and sour chicken, but he also likes it on its own as a filling snack. And as it is quick to cook he can manage this by himself.

Not super-tasty, but good
It's okay. The egg taste isn't very strong so you might want to add condiments. I'm happy enough with it and it's a good deal.
