why the HEAD Velocity Multifilament Tennis Racket String I bought have a bad smell? is that normal?

Bad smell?! Not sure I have actually smelled it closely, but the strings don't have any particular and significant smell.

Is the black as slick as the natural?

Yes. I think it slips a bit more. It does wear off faster than the natural and when you hit the tennis ball you will notice black marks that match strings. The black is my preferred string.

Recommended tension for a 100 inch 10.8 pounds racquet?, 56lbs?, higher? lower?

56 lbs good place to start. When you string again you can decrease tension for more power and comfort or increase say 2 lbs for a little more control
