I use this on all my bolts that I remove from the engine i.e. water pump, oil pan, valve covers ,starter etc so they do not come lose the red for head bolts exsost head bolts transmission bolts and drive shaft bolts so I know this stuff very well

Leaks a little bit

Well, well, well. What can I say about Permatex Blue Threadlocker? For starters, I used it on a few bolts on my motorcycle and let me tell you, they haven't budged since. And that's great! But, if you're like me and enjoy tinkering with your bike or car, this might not be the product for you. Once you apply this stuff, good luck trying to make any adjustments without feeling like you're going to strip the bolt. So, if you're looking for something that will keep your bolts locked down tight, Permatex Blue Threadlocker is your guy. Just make sure you're okay with the fact that you'll need to use a little extra elbow grease the next time you want to make a tweak. Four stars for the secure grip, one star for the difficulty in making changes.

It's a whitish blue gel with much better handling consistency and viscosity than the liquid blue thread locker. The mess is greatly minimized and the waste factor is a lot lower. I was using this blue gel to secure steering stabilizer in a Jeep JL and found the optimum location is about 2-3 thread from the leading edge of a bolt. Will def buy again.

Expensive, but excellent and long-lasting. Closely monitor the package, however, the turning part is easly broken and the product package tends to weep out the contents

After 2 to 3 uses, threaded nozzle broken off the main body. Unable to replace the cap wasting balanced amount.

Just as good as locktite. Kept my screws tight. Very happy.
