This is the perfect capacity to boil pasta for 1 or 2 people. The coating, although not strictly necessary for pasta,alsauces, or soups, makes the cleaning process much easier. The coating seems to hold up well and I don't see any scratch after several months of use. I always hand wash with a sponge. The pot isn't too heavy (aluminum construction) and can be easily manuvered in the kitchen. Aluminum makes the heat transfer also very efficient. I would buy another one again without hesitation

Perfect pot for making pasta, soup, the right size for my recipes which are for 2 but I've boiled a pound of pasta and still came perfect. This pan isn't too heavy it's not too big and it's not too small it's exactly what I wanted very happy with it I feel it's made very well too and it is nonstick and very easy to clean

First time purchasing a Kitchenaid pot and the quality is amazing. This pot is non-stick and very easy to clean. The lid does get hot so make sure to use pot holders. Other than that the pot was good value for the cost.

UPDATE: Even though we don't use any metal utensils with this, we found that the finish is starting to chip off several places inside the pan after just 6 months. ORIGINAL I purchased this to replace an older pan with a flaking, dubious nonstick coating. WOW. This pan has been a dream. Light weight but sturdy and the coating is really smooth but durable.

Good balance, strong and comfortable handle, outside finish is excellent, the inside ceramic finish is the best, so easy to clean, glass lid, ultimate 3 qt pot

I searched for a KitchenAid product because of trust in the name brand. Used it a few months and noticed the ceramic coating had chipped away inside near the bottom of the pot. I do put in in a dishwasher as I do nearly everything I use in the kitchen to cook. I am about to toss this pot due to chipping of ceramic coating around the inside and especially around/on the rim. Also, I have a gas stove that is not old. Using this pot on the flame creates a black smut that comes off 0n my dish towel as I dry it out of the dishwasher. Horrible Smut. I hope KitchenAid reads this complaint of Chipping and Smut!

this is an amazing saucepan. It makes me want to get all of my other pots and pans by KitchenAid as well.

Item was delivered by Evri. It arrived badly damaged, and is unusable. Will not order again. The pan itself seemed beautiful and quality material and I was very excited but obviously I could not enjoy it one bit. Avoid, Evri can damage packages. I am returning it for full refund.
