BSF (British Standard Fine) Tap and die Set

I liked this set very good price also great for the DIY people.

Great budget product for home amateur, lacks refinement for the serious engineer. Tap handles screw adjustment is a bit shaky and the box could do with a catch to keep it tight shut. Taps and dies seem to work OK but only used once on a mall project.

This was my first time using a tap & die set.I used it to create the required thread for a drill auger / adapter in a PLA 3D print and it worked flawlessly first time :)I can now screw the drill adapter into the part that I printed and use it in my hand drill to sand parts smooth

Both taps and dies had burrs on the leading edge of the threads. If trying to repair existing threads this will cause additional damage rather than repairing them. Not sure if a satisfactory new thread could be cut with these taps and dies.
