Really good thermometer. Simple and easy to lose. It’s small and we did lose it for a week! Other than that been an excellent buy!

I loved this Munchkin infrared thermometer for a number of reasons.Firstly it's very simple to use - there are two buttons, the on/off and the "take temperature" button. And you get a fast, accurate reading within a second of pressing the button. A colour coding flash will tell you that it's Ready to use (blue), Temp reading within normal range (green) or temperature is high (red flashing light and a double beep). Unambiguous and easy to read.Second, it's incredibly compact - it arrives in a small hard shelled custom carrycase which is perfect for travel (magnets keep it closed so no tricky catches to use). And the small cylinder shape is easily operated with a squeeze motion from two fingers.Thirdly - and for me the most important - it is not intimidating to use. This is not my first infrared thermometer - and I like their no-contact approach. However the others tend to be more "gun" shaped, and my young children became anxious and resisted when I was pointing a larger device at their foreheads (usually for a few seconds). The Munchkin thermometer is easily concealed in the palm of your hand, and taking a reading is so fast, it's over before it's even started.In terms of accuracy, I received the same numbers as I did from my Braun infrared thermometer which was priced similarly so my presumption is that it is accurate. And good to know that it's powered by a single 3V 2032 button cell battery (that is screwed in place to stop it coming loose).Overall an excellent easy to read mini contactless thermometer - and it's size and shape mean it's not intimidating for younger children.

This infrared thermometer arrived in well presented, branded retail packaging which was protected with a plastic bag. The thermometer comes with a case, a small screwdriver for changing the battery with and a user guide. The thermometer is very compact and the case that it fits in is very neat with a magnetic hinged closure – it is perfectly sized for on the go.To switch on the device press and hold the on/off button located on the top of the thermometer. This is also where you can change between the Celsius and Fahrenheit setting by double pressing this button when the device is on. The thermometer also has the ability to record previous temperature readings with an internal memory function.It has an LCD screen which is easy to read (although not backlit) and the device takes temperature readings quickly with the single button operation on the side. It is accurate compared to the other infrared thermometer I have and it is far more portable and travel friendly. It is ideal for babies and children and since it is non-contact and it is a hygiene way to taking a temperature reading that can be done when they are asleep.The thermometer lights up green when the temperature is between the temperature range of 35.5°C – 37.5°C, blue if it is below 35.5°C and red if it is above 37.5°C and it emits a warning sound when it is not within the normal temperature range. To take the measurement ensure the device is within 2cm away from the forehead for the most accurate reading.The device is powered by CR2032 battery, but upon arrival the battery only had a very small amount of life left in it. Upon reading the manual this appears intentional, stating that it is for demo purposes, but to me this seems a bit strange to supply a device with a battery that has minimal life left in it. Personally, I would have preferred a rechargeable device and it feels a bit old fashioned in this respect.Priced at £34.99 at the time of reviewing, I think this is a smart non-contact thermometer with a nice carry case which is very well made, but the battery situation does leave me feeling a touch annoyed that they didn’t just provide the device with a fully functioning battery. I also worry that the small screwdriver will inevitably get lost as there isn’t anywhere to store it. However, the accuracy of the thermometer is good and the device and case are well finished, so I would still recommend it.

This is aimed at babies and small children to read fevers when out and about but this can easily be opened up to a wider human audience especially for travel or for the infirm too. It has it's own little yard shell case to keep it safe from dust as well as knocks. This device is battery powered by a disc battery CR2032, so if your going to travel I would carry a spare just incase especially if travelling abroad as batteries may not be easy to find in your holiday location.So size wise it's quite compact and easily fits within the centre of my palm. It is mainly white in colour though the slightly frosted areas where the lights will show have a slight grey hue. So you have a small digital display with a rectangle surround which is where the either red light ( high temperature), green light ( normal) or blue light ( low temperature ) will glow once a reading has been taken. On top next to the one symbol is the actual on button which is long and thin. To the left a heart button for getting the previous recorded readings to display but also to change from Fahrenheit to Celsius. If the blue light should flash too it is saying it's ready to take another reading so don't get confused with the low temperature. At the back behind the display is the sensor which you do not place directly onto the head. I find it to be an accurate reading compared to my rather bulky gun type thermometer

Very precise when compared to in ear thermometer.

Ce petit thermomètre fonctionne sans contact avec le patient. Il est super compact et il se range dans sa coque fournie. Le tout rentre dans la main fermée.Au niveau du fonctionnement est très intuitif. J’ai remarqué un écart de 0’2°C entre deux mesures de la même personne. Très pratique pour mesurer la température d’un enfant endormi

Temperatur messen ist ja immer so eine Sache gewesen. Thermometer unter den Arm, 30 Sekunden warten, piepen nicht überhören und überhaupt, das spitze Thermometer unter dem Arm nicht vergessen. Ich hab mich oft gefragt ob das nicht einfacher geht, besonders mit Kindern, denen es schwerer fällt ein Thermometer diese Zeit unter dem Arm zu behalten. Es gab diese Laser Thermometer, aber die sind eher zum messen im Industriebereich oder von Essen, damit die Temperatur bei Personen zu messen wirkte schon eher seltsam. Aber endlich gibt es sowas auch in kompakter Größe für die Stirn für Zuhause!Das Thermometer kommt mit kleiner Transport-Schutzhülle, eingelegten Batterien und Schraubenzieher um das Batteriefach zu öffnen. Leider gibt es keine Möglichkeit diesen Schraubenzieher an der Transporthülle zu verstauen, er ist daher dazu verdammt in irgendeiner Schublade verloren zu gehen. Schade.Das Thermometer selber ist super kompakt und unkompliziert zu bedienen. Es gibt ein beleuchtetes LC-Display, dessen Farbe auch eine Einschätzung zur Temperatur abgibt. Das Thermometer wird über eine Taste an der Oberseite eingeschaltet, danach vor die Stirn gehalten und die Taste an der Seite gedrückt, was eine Messung auslöst. Ein piepen bestätigt eine erfolgreiche Messung, ein Doppelpiepen weist auf einen Fehler hin. Nach wenigen versuchen vor dem Spiegel lässt sich auch zuverlässig die eigene Temperatur messen. Die Messung selber dauert weniger als eine Sekunde und wird direkt auf dem Display angezeigt, dabei gibt eine grüne Hintergrundbeleuchtung an, das alles ok ist, rot eine höhere Temperatur und blau eine zu niedrige. Ich finde das piepen ist nicht zu laut oder aufdringlich, der Ton ist kurz und präzise, lässt sich aber wohl nicht deaktivieren. Die Hintergrundbeleuchtung bleibt nur wenige Sekunden an, das kann manchmal etwas zu kurz sein. Über erneutes drücken der Seitentaste lässt sich direkt eine weitere Messung starten. Nach dem einschalten zeigt das Thermometer die zuletzt gemessene Temperatur, es gibt einen Speicher, drückt man erneut die Einschalttaste, dann zeigt es auch weitere, ältere Werte an.Ingesamt kann ich dieses Thermometer sehr empfehlen. Es ist kompakt, kommt mit einer Schutzhülle und misst zuverlässig und schnell die Temperatur. Dabei bietet es ausreichend zusätzliche Features. Die CR2032 Batterie ist eine gängige Größe, die man auch schnell vor Ort im Supermarkt nachgekauft bekommt.

Ce thermomètre est juste excellent et surtout pour les enfants. Il est très facile et agréable à utiliser. Il est également précis car j'obtiens des résultats similaires à ceux que j'obtiens avec un thermomètre classique que j'utilise depuis longtemps.Le prix est très intéressant, je recommande.
