I cook them in my instant pot without pre soaking, using a bit of salt, some garlic, and a variety of chili pepper spices and they come out perfectly every time. The 3lb bag goes quickly in our home so I'm back for more.

I doubt these beans are as fresh as described. They cooked very unevenly and took a long time to soften up. A lot had exploded before all were cooked.
