Resurrection Letters, Vol. 1 [2 CD][Deluxe Edition]

Still enjoying this CD after over a year of playing it. Bought two additional copies as gifts. This is great music at any time, but especially at Easter.

I heard Is He Worthy? on the radio the other day and it brought me to tears (and I'm not a "weepy" sort of person). I immediately had to find out who sang this and then bought the CD. How have I never heard of this artist before last week??As a new listener, the best way I can describe the music is contemporary hymns. A common gripe about CCM is the lack of depth of the lyrics, but I also see a need for more contemporary christian music. In my opinion, this artist fills the gap with a contemporary sound, but with deep and meaningful messages throughout the music.Very thoughtful and moving music and I plan to go back and check out some of his previous works!

Beautiful album. It’s perfect for the Easter and Lent season, and is such a welcome change from the same songs I constantly hear on the radio.

I absolutely love Andrew Peterson! This CD is so upbeat, full of joy, and really fantastic lyrics and music. I think I own just about every one of his CDs, and this one is by far my favorite! Usually it takes a little bit to get accustomed to new music, even if it is by your favorite artist, but not this one. I fell in love right off the bat. Lyrically poetic with beautiful harmony. I can't say enough wonderful things about this CD!

The Dictionary defines "Magnum Opus" as "a large and important work of art, music, or literature, especially one regarded as the most important work of an artist or writer." For Andrew Peterson, subject-wise, lyric-wise, vocally, musically, production-wise, and artistry-wise, this IS it, Andrew's "Magnum Opus", so far! I will spare the adjectives and just encourage you to get this and enjoy the experience. It's a big dose of hope, served up by one of the best and most soundly theological songwriter-theologians today!

Resurrection. One of the most important words. I've heard so many great songs on sacrifice, and now, resurrection letters brings an album of hope. This is the hope to pair with the dispair. This is a reason that the sacrifice is so precious. In this world, we can see so much loss. This album's view of life's comeback was just what I needed. I cant remember an album that has moved me this deeply.

Best of the best in Christian music! Bought this for my mom's birthday, and the whole family literally never stops listening to it and his other albums. Peterson combines sound biblical lyrics and themes with exquisite music; as a classical musician, this is so great to hear! I thank God that we have master composers in the Christian music field. This music is truly spiritual warfare.

This album is the best I've heard from Andrew Petersen. The songs are so personal and his voice is so distinctive.

Diese widmet sich thematisch dem Karfreitag und Karsamstag - und das gewohnt in herausragender textlicher Qualität.Dasselbe trifft auf das eigentliche "Resurrection Letters Vol. 1" zu, das das Ostergeschehen / die Osterbotschaft aus verschiedenen Perspektiven besingt. Jedes Lied ist wie eine kleine Predigt über die Bedeutung von Ostern.Highlights sind "God Rested" aus der Prolog-EP und "Is he worthy" von der eigentlichen CD.
