10 FEET - Bonded High-Lofted Polyester Air Filter Media Roll - 10 Foot x 12 inch x 1 inch

I use this to replace various air filters in our home, from CPAP machines to dryer vents and circulating fans. Very easy to cut to fit and far less expensive than dedicated filters. Thumbs up!

This is standard polyester filter media. I have installed tons of this stuff industrially. My application is a little unusual; keeping rain and bugs out of the roof ridge vent cap. It does that fine. The one thing I would say is the thickness is a little variable. So if you need this to be a consistent loft, you will need to use the center section of the roll. The edges may get down to a 1/4" in places. The mid section was good.

Works perfectly for my dryer filter. The ability to cut it to size is ideal.

I purchased this roll of filter material because of its width and length available for the pricing. I am pleased with the product and will recommend this to anyone looking for a filter priced reasonable.

As Full time RV’ers, we buy this for our A/C intake vent filters. This is the same material as the pre-cut ones, however this is a bulk roll of 10 feet. We change our filters out monthly, and just cut to size. Saves us lots of money. Great product!

Foam pad is more like 1/2" and not very dense.

Ideally these should actually be thicker than one inch in fact since most filters are expected to be one inch and you want it to fit a bit tightly when packing it in by hand. The description says it's as little as 3/4" (presumably meaning the edges) and as much as one inch. However, this is completely false. The material is 1/2 of an inch thick in the thickest portions of the middle and even less at the edges -- the whole thing is roughly half of what it's advertised to be. That means less actual filtration and, more importantly, less actual material all around. I bought this with the intent to fold it over to fit into a thicker area to use as a simple fan filter replacement. It will still work, but I will have to fold it over at least one extra time (probably even more since I was expecting it to be closer to 1" thick as a whole,) using even more of the material. At this price I don't expect very much out of such a product and it doesn't have to actually do a whole lot, but I do feel that one should get what they were told they were getting on an order. That said, as long as you fold it over and get at least 2x of the material it should at least do a semi-decent job of filtration. It's not a terribly thick material and it's not going to get spores or such and won't do a thing for smells, but at least it will filter out dust and other such larger materials. You'll still need a much much better material than this for any serious filtration (yes even more so than if you folded this many times over.) This should be fine for simple fan dust filters at least though.
